I remember this collaboration:

I”m not surprised.....I make music but am not out on the street promoting it......I am here....
I am not an outward person...but fucking love making a noise....
Mind blown. Seeking jungian shrink to help build concrete bunker...

Time Travel - Repulse the Monkey
Okie-dokie, we just added the track mentioned earlier in thread, to our YouTube channel. Alas, YT does not allow us to include live links, but credits are on screen at end.
Guest guitarist - A Multitude of One/ AlterEgo_UK/ Colin Powell.
Original song - Carl Halling / Nathan Brazil
Annimation - Orrey App for IOS by Jan Frischmuth

Nice relaxing video to a nice relaxing song @Zen210507 . This is the first time (that I am aware of) that I have been sampled

Hopefully it was a painless experience, quite pleasant even. We certainly enjoyed working with you. If Carslberg made collaborations....
One more thing on ‘Time Travel’ , an e-mail we just received from the guy who wrote the original. He’s had his share of life’s kicks in the teeth in recent times, so it was so nice to get this positive response.
“Hi mate, I just had a listen and it's fantastic, I love it! Talk about a boost, that has cheered me up no end, thank you so much. The guitarist - Colin isn't it - is wonderful, please thank him from me. It's pretty close to my original, but the whole feel is more soulful, funky, which is a good thing, it's great to dance to; and I think it's a good idea to adapt the original to the Repulse the Monkey style rather than just duplicate the original acoustic 'folk' feel.”
Nice. I like the reverb/ringing sound on the guitar that comes in after about 3.15 - does pleasant things to my ears.

Thanks, Monzo.
The effect was done with Timeless 2.
It depends on how long I can keep it going before it crashes........
I need special effects because the quality and over feeling isn't there.
I think my system is outdated.
No......grow up.

Great to hear he likes it
Thanks for posting. Always good to get feedback - good or constructive
Ah right...nice, I like the way it pans as well. If I had loads of money I'd get all the FabFilters, and the desktop versions as well.

I've never understood why the jams are held in such high reguard. Much of their output was cheesy nonesense .. yes I did buy the first album and it's pretty dire. Bet he now wished he hadn't burned that million £... if he ever did

Yes, they did really burn the money, and no he doesn’t regret it, AFAIK.
The thing is most people have the wrong story as to why they did it. I’m not saying I agree, and would’ve found a more productive use for it, myself. But if you read ‘The KLF: Chaos, Magic and the Band who Burned a Million Pounds - by John Higgs’ you will have a very different perspective.
Wasn't it supposed to have been an "art statement "
You're forgetting Beatonal and ending it with Grand Finale
>
The short version, is that KLF had the idea to nail half a million quid to a canvass, have it displayed in a high brow art gallery, and because it would then be ‘art’ double the value. That was the intended statement, showing the absurdity of the art establishment. However, being the pricks they are, the art establishment refused to endorse this ‘work’ or allow it to be displayed in any established London gallery.
The KLF response was that money always went back to money, whatever it was used for - and was ultimately controlled by the same people - unless it was physically destroyed. So they burned the lot!
The book I mentioned is a fascinating read, not only telling the story of the KLF, but exploring in depth some rather mind-blowing concepts. Stuff that KLF touched upon in thier career and concepts, but obviously could not even begin to explain within the confines of a 4 minute song.
Some of the singles were really good though, particularly Justified And Ancient, which absolutely deserved its number one. On the first album, Build A Fire is pretty good - especially when you consider that a couple of years later they really did, erm, build a fire...
I haven't splashed out on Grand Finale yet
+1
I’d recommend his book Watling Street too.
When you do may I recommend plenty of drop cloths
