Syntronik single synth purchase? Which ones?

Hello, first post here. I like the idea of some of the syntronik synths, but dont really want to buy the whole thing. Are there any must have synths there? I already have a plethora of ios synths, and I know my way around them pretty good. I have (to list a few that overlap with syntronik) imini, isem, fm player, model 15, gadget and all iap, iVCS3, layR, laplace, mersenne, all the Bram Bos apps, and all the Yonac apps. So, are there any sounds that I dont have covered? Thanks for any info you can give.

Mike

  • I was going to buy the whole thing when it was $40, but it went full price on the day before I finally wrangled up the cash.
Really, the one synth type I might just buy as a single is the Juno stuff. I used to have a Juno 60, and I miss it dearly. :'(

  • Thanks for the comment. Yeah, ios doesnt seem to have much Roland or Yamaha stuff; so those would be a good syntronik purchase. Its still on sale for half off, so I might bite the bullet and get the whole thing.

I think if you’re not too familiar with the synths they’re offering, or not lusting after a particular sound rather, then they’re not really worth it. I decided to give the OB a shot cause I had credit burning a hole in my pocket...it didn’t fill the void. The samples are quality and it sounds good, but at the end of the day it’s not a synth and none of the presets really stretch what an OB could do.

thanks, while you're here may I ask you what if anything you've got in the works for the app in the near future?

  • I did a few vids of some of my favorite ones

  • Thanks for all the comments! While its on sale i think i will just buy the whole thing. Also, Red Sky Lullaby- your patches for the IVCS3 are amazing!

  • just to confirm, does the app have both core midi in and out, and do the arps transmit midi as well?

  • Again, thanks to all. Just got the whole thing and now to spend the rest of the day in Syntronic-land!

  • Oh man have fun! I had to sell two old Ipods and an old camera to get it :D

    Appholism at its best :D

Ok. I bought it and am currently downloading the big ball of data. This better be worth it. :p
Actually, thank you for the gentle prodding. This collection is quite amazing. About half of the stuff is unfamiliar to me, so I will be enjoying many synths for the first time. B)

I can’t find anything about midi out yet, but info on midi in is plentiful and easy to find. I‘m going to guess there is no midi out. If there was, it would be in the free version as well. You only get presets for cash, no additional functionality.

@ikmultimedia, will the app be updated with midi out?

I don't have specific information about an update to add MIDI OUT but the support team tells me they have requested this of the developers and will bump the request.
