Been a bit busy.. How's this new Bram Bos app?
.. Like I even have to ask
Purhased! (along with Rozeta!)
Comments
If you've only just picked up Rozeta as well...you are in for a treat

Pro tip .... check out the new track bookmark feature in AUM as you will find it a lot easier navigating all the rozeta tracks you will create
I use Brambos apps (along with AUM) more than anything else on my iPad these days. They would be my 'desert island' choice. I wish he'd make some VST's.
New bookmark feature? ¿Que?
In AUM, If you select the track name at the bottom...you can edit the properties....there is a bookmark available there...just to the right of "Edit Channel"... if you select this then when clicking the bookmark icon bottom left of main screen, you can jump directly to the bookmarked tracks
Wait, I thought GR16 was the forum darling at the moment?
I don’t have it, so it can’t be too good
Yet.

Not for me, I can't get on with that one at all. Or BM3.
That's still a thing people say? And I guess time just froze while I wasn't posting here and NanoStudio2 is also not released yet..
KRFT sobs quietly in the corner ...
ZING! I'm right there in the corner with those dudes. So much promise...
/me stops by to check on the dryly ironic kids and nods knowingly.....
not for me either - I appreciate the app though, and I'm sure I'd have a fun afternoon playing with GR16, but that kind of groovebox doesn't suit my production style.
So how's Tidal been working out for you?
Before I get to my post, I need to acknowledge that , yes, I have been living under a rock for the past year or more (with regards to iOS music). My app-aholic nature means I bought a few Bram Bos apps (Troublemaker and Ripplemaker), but hadn't really taken time to explore them as I wasn't doing much music production (no free time when I wasn't dead tired).
All that to say I've finally discovered the whole AUv3 thing and have been going nuts with it in Cubasis recently. Now I completely get the love for Bram Bos. I downloaded all the rest of their apps over the past few days and have much exploration to do.
That said, I need to still find a good host for them on the iPhone (using GarageBand right now, which is okay for getting some basic ideas going). Hoping that the delay in NS2 is enabling it to be released as universal rather than iPad only at launch.
Reason why I plan on getting a new iPad soon.
Want to keep my iPad mini 2 withing ios10 and its compatible old apps
I need some quality time wrapping my head around what Rozeta does. I got "forced" into iOS 11 on my iPhone last weekend as I needed to get an in-warranty replacement. The silver lining was that I could finally see what this Rozeta app was all about. Still running iOS 10.3.3 on my iPad.
In the same boat. I fire them up every now and then just to get frustrated. Probably my own fault, for not learning every little nuance to make it do what I need it to do. It just seems like there is too many hidden things, I have to have something much more straightforward. One thing I don't get with GR16 is the file structure. It just seems like you should be able to create folders that would contain parts of songs that you could roll through or even sequence.
They are still fun to tinker with.
This only my unskilled and limited opinion as someone fairly new.
Rozeta was my first Bram app, so I had no idea how to use the sequencers. I learned about each in the manual for the Bram app that originally had that particular sequencer.
They LFO and xy pad are simple enough to get. Then particles, collider, and Cells got added since release, so I was able to get a handle on each of those one at a time. On the Ruismaker website Bram has a lot of great manuals for his apps. There is a general Rozeta one as well.
Have AUM?
@lukesleepwalker Yes, I have AUM. I've dabbled in it, but I'm still not clear on a how to use it in workflow with a MIDI/DAW type app for putting together a full song. Do I set up all my AUv3 in AUM and have the MIDI from another app feed into that and then the audio feed back into a DAW? If so, which apps on the iPhone would I use for the MIDI sequencing and then the audio recording?
Rozeta can do your MIDI sequencing thru Bassline, Collider, Particles, or Cells (or even the two rhythm apps if you want to set up the notes you’re using). Any other MIDI sequencer for iPhone will do as well, plus you can host it in AUM for quick switching.
Load up your synth, effects chain of whatever length, and sequencer of choice in AUM, connect them, and then send the output to Harmonic Dog’s MultiTrack DAW to record the audio (It is universal, simple, and good if Garage Band isn’t doin it for you).
It’s as simple as that, really, but AUM’s routing can get as complicated as you need.
@oat_phipps : Awesome! Thanks for sharing. I've always felt that MTD comes in to save they day from time to time. I wish the user interface was a little less clunky, but it still gets the job done.
Can MTD record separate tracks routed from AUM at the same time?
I kinda tossed that off real quick, if it wasn’t coherent enough, let me know
You would use AUM on the iPhone to host Rozeta. Rozeta is a new AU Midi type of plugin, and only about 3 or 4 hosts on iOS support these. On iPhone the choices are even fewer, but AUM is there to save you.
You can route Rozeta to AU synths right in AUM. You can run other Midi sequencers inside or outside of AUM, and AUM will still be able to let you route the midi. You can record each track individually in AUM, and the files go to AudioShare. You can also route your AUM tracks to a single stereo track in AUM, and just record that as a mixdown.
Awesome!! I've performed one duo concert with tidal so far and my next coming up is a solo Tidal concert. Going to spice it up with some AB3/BM3/Bram Bos awesomeness
KRFT is unsupported now right ?
Forum removed, no more updates, but they 'may' update if an IOS update breaks it (Direct quote from support email)
Wait. Krft died ?
