hah, this was really messing with my head at first. I thought the audio was screwed up. But you are playing a sample of yourself... weird
Cheers Doug, I’ll watch that later.
Just noticed we appear to go to the same hairdresser.
Is it possible to make anything pretty with Sector? Because all these industrial glitch beats make me want to kill something.
hmm, maybe don't buy sector if you don't want industrial glitches
Nice vid, Doug!
until you added some warp, I kept looking for other browser tabs thinking I must have another video of yours playing somewhere...
It's a very specific (and I think overplayed) audio trope, the hyperglitchy beat. It's not in my music, but I'm very very interested in using it in ways it's not supposed to be used. You use of vocal randomization, Doug, was pretty intriguing. But I fear it will give me the same results as Egoist, which is super cool and a blast to play with; ultimately, though, it's somebody else's music that comes out.

I know exactly what you mean. While appreciating the cleverness of this app, I could never get anything out of it that didn’t leave me in need of Paracetamol.
I ended up deleting it, then one day wondered what might happen if I put vocals through it. Result: something that on a good day can be like Bowie’s cut up method. Obviously, it isn’t a trick to use all the time.
If you guys have FAC Transient, you should try using it with Sector, and reducing the glitchiness impact
Top tip!
is there a way to adjust the starting point of each sector? so that when the playhead starts in a sector it his playing across the audio you want? because sectors do not always line up on the parts of the sector you neccsarally like?
Use the sequencer (seq) and disable the map section. The map section is for randomization and can be used together with the seq section to create more randomized loops.
how do you disable the map section? is there a button?
Yes, the CLR button (clear). In the sequencer you can also assign how much change each slice has to be triggered. You can swipe your finger up and down to fill the dots. The more colour the more change this slice will be triggered.
