  • excellent, I was just wondering if I should ask for these after seeing your other thread. THANK YOU!

  • Awesome thanks! Looks like I have to consider picking up the latest Motherload upgrade....

  • Here is a new demo.

    Cheers!

  • Ah, Flo is back ! ;)
    Thanks for sharing

  • Is this the only way to add presets to ToneStack?

  • edited March 2018

No. You can export a whole bank (folder of presets) in tonestack

Also when I load these audiobus loads tonestack but I don't have your presets so nothing loads. You have to already have the tonestack presets for the audiobus preset to load them. These are just audiobus presets. Not tonestack

Audiobus presets load app states but if you don't already have the presets in the app then there's nothing to load

  • In tonestack presets tap share and then email folder. From your email you can long tap the file and upload to dropbox/drive/etc

  • Oh I see but I wondered how to load them back?

  • Thanks for the presets. I'll try to share some of mine. fwiw AB state saving is pretty fiddly and requires more work to get the presets saved within Tonestack. It's easier to share individual presets directly from within Tonestack (just email them to yourself).

  • Thanks! Also thanks hear great presets!

    My pleasure.
I’d like to hear how it sounds like with your guitars guys!
    Anybody?

  • I haven't tested this, but here is a single bank you should be able to open In ToneStack directly: https://www.dropbox.com/s/htlnf7nfgta4qwr/Flo26.tban?dl=0

Yes @dokwok2, that bank loads fine; thank you!

It works great. Save in DropBox, press the ..., press Export, press Open In, choose ToneStack.

My only challenge is that it imported it as a folder and I already have a Flo26 folder of presets. Any way to combine the two folders in ToneStack?

Ok so I redid things using iTunes. I saved the presets from DropBox onto my desktop. I then dropped them into iTunes for filesharing and then used the "Share" option within ToneStack. It helpfully imported them and asked me to set a destination folder before hitting Done.

I'd like to share a couple of banks of presets that I've created.

The first is a bank is designed to emulate some of the classic tones of Alex Lifeson: http://www.progulus.com/Rush.tban

The second is a bank dedicated to 70s classic rock and progressive rock: http://www.progulus.com/70sVintage.tban

These are the presets that I use day to day in my band, so they're tried and true for me. They're designed to sound best when output to my particular amp, so they may need some tweaking by you to sound their best on your particular rig.

  • Damn, I wish you could open ToneStack presets in ToneStack Go. I feel like I invested in the wrong app. It really bugs me how they split the apps and I wish they would just consolidate to only ToneStack and let Go users restore their IAPs across to ToneStack. They could shut down Go then and stop the confusion.

  • @flo26 Do you have the volume turned up to 11 on all the amps in these presets? I found that they were that way when I imported them and they all sounded harsh and overdriven and exactly the same. When I turned back the volume to 8 or 9 they started to sound different. Just my own feedback on the apps - I even renamed them to Flo26 PRESETNAME Volume Lowered just to distinguish them, especially as some were so loud on my app that they immediately started giving feedback and hurting my ears. This is unlike all the other presets you've shared thus far, so maybe it is the import method or something?

Did anything load? I'm confused. Audiobus doesn't store presets for tonestack just app states but you have to already have the presets in tonestack

The AB state saving loads the app state(s), so then you just need to save the state in tonestack as a new preset. It's kind of a pain to do that though... anyway he now linked to the tonestack presets so just open that up and you're all set with no fuss.

  • Oh gotcha. I was confused about it for a minute

  • Thanks for sharing these presets @flo26 and @Coloobar

  • Really loving these 70s Prog Tonestack presets from @Coloobar . Thanks for sharing them. Here is a video demo I just uploaded.

By the way sorry for the in-phone audio on this. I did have it set up to record in Audioshare via AUM but I was so excited to show people these presets I forgot to press the record button!

I'm glad you like the "70s Prog" presets... very cool demo! What pickup are you using? I play with stock Gibson Les Paul pickups and your 'clean' tone sounds a little hotter than mine.

I use the 'Clean' and 'Blackface OD' a lot and and they're almost perfect for 90% of my playing. Running into my little tube amp warms them up . The 'hard lead' preset adds a little more volume/fullness on my guitar solos.

I use the two acoustic presets (regular and 12-string) with an acoustic guitar with piezo pickups... if you're playing with an electric you might want to add the acoustic sim in the chain to make them sound more authentic.

The harmonizing preset is key-specific, so you'll need to adjust it in the Dual Harmony pedal for the actual key or song you're playing.

Incidentally, I also have a true stereo version of this bank that I can share if anyone is interested.

  • Got Flo's preset bank to open fine in TS3, but cant get the Rush and Prog banks to work. Open In never shows TS3 as an option.
Would love to check them out!

Looks like these banks get downloaded as *.xml files, which will not let them be installed. The .xml extension needs to be dropped so that they can become .tban files. I was able to use the GoodReader app to do this. There might be other ways to accomplish the same (though I have have the feeling that Apple's Filer is not going to be helpful here).
