Alchemy´s like ModFX app?

Hey, i posted this also on KVR (and maybe somewhere else too) and it says it all. I can´t find or recreate the FX of this awesome little FX box and maybe there is an app for similar FX? Read further for more info....
So after all this years i always love the ModFX inside Alchemy and even more in the latest Logic (but i think it´s mainly the same as in Alchemy 1.55).
I know it works with very very short delays (it goes way under 1/10 of a ms) and LFO and can achieve chorus and flanger like FX but for some reason i can´t reproduce the sound i can get out of it with any other delay, chorus, flanger or phaser plug-in....even a combination of those seems not give me quite the harmonic and interesting results which this little ModFX box inside Alchemy gives me.
Maybe user fault, so someone might have an idea what could achieve a similar FX.
It´s hard to describe so here is a short demo of what i mean.
First there is the sound without the ModFX (but already with FX) and then the same midi and sound with the ModFX on. This thing can go from subtle to really extreme but still more musical as other FX without going too easy totally out of control for some reason.
Here is what i´m searching for....maybe it´s an easy task:

  • O.k. i figured out that i would need a kind of delay FX which has a really wide range and high resolution between 1ms and zero. There are a few things which seems to come close but they are still far away.
It seems here is a gap and there is indeed nothing like the little awesome Alchemy ModFX out there (at least as software). I mean it even worked in the background in the old Alchemy app on my old iPhone 4 so it might not be too cpu intense. It must the an old secret of Camel Audio and now Apple.
Sadly the modFX is not the same in the PhatFX (CamelPhat) or StepFX (CamelSpace) which are great but there is not such a wide range for very very very short delays.
A comb filter might be the closest but still far away from the modFX.
Any developer want to try? BramBos? :#

  • So after my long search i found nothing which sounds like Alchemy´s modFX on iOS or mac or elsewhere.
A combination of flanger and combfilter might come close but if you start to tweak and/or modulate the parameters (especially the delays) it still creates these unique sounding artifacts and harmonics i can´t create with any other tool this way with some simple tweaks. Please some smart developer before you do another synth..... :)
Another example where i put this FX on after some seconds and then tweak it while playing some random chords.

  • That does sound really nice! Especially when it goes far beyond the typical phaser/flanger effect.

I guess the modulation is so detailed per sound it is hard to do like Alchemy exactly.

It was a work of art.

8 XY combo fx panel? C'mon

I have found that Elastic Fx to be pretty good.
But the Alchemy Fx are super clean.

I am finding that multi channels using Koz(bram) with Dischord(ADamage) and Quatro(AudioDamage) with Kai(RP and VC) give me similar fx that allow some flexibility live.

I actually run my Circuit with 6 different input channels each having different AU fx and mute/solo to switch it up.

Tedious yet after a while it feels normal.

    Cool sounding piece

  • Here is maybe a better example. A pad/string preset with already good amount of Alchemy´s intern delay and reverb. I played 3 random parts. First you always hear the "normal" preset and then exact the same midi just with a slightly modulated modFX before the delay and reverb with the same preset. This can go much wilder or subtle as well. I just love what content this little FX can add:

  • I, too, would love an AU FX app similar to ModFX. Turnado is usually too much, and I don't have Flux:FX but am reluctant to buy it, plus it isn't AU.

They all can‘t really do what the single modFX can do within a few seconds. But also in the big desktop world there isn‘t really anything like it.
I really want my favorite synth (P900) to go trough this effect....
