  • I'm not surprised...

  • To buy for sure :)

  • Rumors ;) 12.9" ha ha i still try to handle my new 9,7" device :) I would buy it for sure if it's under 2000€. Then my iPad Air would be the small mobile device lol!

  • Hmm.....from Korea? Home of Samsung. Yeah, put this rumour out there big time to stall sales of iPad Air during the Christmas period. Apple will not comment on such rumours for sure so this rumour will run and run.

  • I'm looking forward to iPad Pro. It'll be great for sheet music too.

  • Interesting theory @FrankieJay. Could very well be the case. For me it's a don't care. The iPad Pro will be more expensive than the Air. The Air is barely fitting into what I can justify now, so there isn't really a decision for me to make. I did resist the notion at first, but I'd say the Air naming convention would be pretty pointless without a Pro model. Time will tell of course.

  • @boone51- In these days of big money business anything is possible. I mean this would make sense if we follow the naming convention but the price will so high people will be better off buying the MacBook Air. The 9.7 screen is still the killer size for me. I can't see myself running around with a laptop size tablet.

  • @FrankieJay exactly where I am as well. I actually find the mini very attractive, but when considering Auria, that just takes that tiny screen out of the equation. I do love the size of my iPad 2. I believed him when SJ said they went through lots of different sizes so they could figure out what was the "right size". It feels perfect.

  • For me the iPads 9,7"size is perfect. If it's near the 13" size...i can use my macbook pro ;-) Not to mention how expensive this thing would be...

  • I couldn't care less about an Apple TV set.

  • Yeah, this is probably a real thing. Apple is not going to make a convertible MacBook, and with various pressures to remain relevant in business computing, an ipad pro is inevitable.

I am absolutely hoping for precision input for drawing and handwriting purposes for this device, and I think it will be its primary feature.

Considering laptop sales are nose-diving, it is in Apple's interest to put a tablet in that space to take up the slack.

Higher res screen, more ram, and precision input are what I'm looking for. Better camera wouldn't hurt either.

Aside the fact that an ipad air immediately suggests an ipad pro.

The only question is whether it will run iOS or OSX. I think it will be iOS, simply because it would far underperform their laptops if with OSX in terms of available power, and I think they wouldn't use their "pro" branding so loosely.

Would be very interesting if it ships with an iOS version of Xcode.

  • And as far as the price argument goes, I don't think Apple is too concerned about having price overlap in their products. I was always shocked the price of the iPod never really went down when the touch was released. Why would anyone get an iPod when you could have the new sexy touchiness. Of course it eventually did, but the point I make is that Apple doesn't seem to concern itself with internal canibalization.

  • I think I recall betting a buck on this not too long ago... ;-)

  • Note the name of the site is Mac "rumors"... Don't go spending that dollar just yet... ;-) though I concede I'm likely going to lose this bet.
