Had a bit of fun with this last night but hoping to do more over the next few days. I REALLY like that it can control MIDI cc parameters - honestly for me I can see more utility in using it this way at first. For instance - setting it to "play" the filter on the Model D while it's doing the auto-rotate thing it does so well....
ohh gotta try that one thanks
Man @JeffChasteen thanks brother, it was my pleasure. It’s just such an excellent feature. I encourage everyone to experiment & either make some samples or use free to use, open license samples and make a kit to upload.
Stick to your plan @fprintf I’d LOVE to hear some didgeridoo on Cloud Kits. I uploaded a DownUnder Australian themed kit with a couple didgeridoo honks, but they were kinda “canned” sounding, I’d love to hear more recorded.
I bought Patterning on day one because it's a design masterpiece but Ive never really used it until today. I was having difficulty getting a simple 2 bar drum loop (32 steps) and thought Id give it a go. Somehow it just clicked. Its a great feeling when it happens. Patterning rocks! Give it another chance why dontcha. Jus sayin!
I had no idea. That sounds intriguing. Are there any clips or videos of someone using this feature?
I own it but I just WISH Patterning would get an update so it can RECEIVE MIDI so we can all use those wonderful drum sounds in our other MIDI drum based music.
And adding a ton of built in patterns wouldn't go amiss either.
I wasn't prepared for just how pleasant the circular interface is. It's a joy to program once it does click. And the fact that it can control MIDI cc values is ridiculous. I have to dive into that at some point....
Yes, its super easy!

My only suggestion after doing this is to not make the sound file too long as there us no zoom when trying to drag to the start points. A long file makes it hard to be precise.
Bonus tip: I ripped a youtube hand drumming turorial audio then simply cut and silenced parts until i had about 1 min of various hits separated by silence then used that for a kit.
