Whats your favorite AU effects?
Im in the market for AU effects; reverb, delays, pitch shifter, chorus etc.
Any suggestions?

Audio Damage, Future Sonic, FAC, and Brambos are the devs I currently favor. Tardigrain is a pretty awesome app, too.
Awesome thx!
The ones I find myself using most often are Grind, Eos, Kosmonaut, Discord4, Maxima, FAC Chorus, and Filterstation2.
everything FAC. cosmonaut. filterstation2 replicant 2

Reverb = EOS2, DDMF Envelope
Delays = Dubstation
Pitch Shifter = Discord4
Chorus = FAC Chorus
EQ = FuxEQ (for surgical), 6144 (for nice-sounding balancing)
Compressor = Korvpressor, PressIt, NY Compressor
Transient Designer = FAC Transient
Distortions = Fuzzplus, Grind, SquashIt
A Proper Maximizer = FAC Maxima
Also pretty f-cking brill is Shaper from K-Devices. And finally, if you want to slap on a quick mastering to your tracks, get Klevgrand’s Grand Finale app. It’s not a plugin, but it’ll do your tracks proper.
Any other advice, just ask. Cheers.
These get overlooked all the time. Not sure why they don’t get mentioned more often, as the dev is solid.

He’s a quality developer and I’m looking forward to the synth that is coming, but AudioDamage and FAC Chorus made these obsolete for me.
Much like what others are saying, AudioDamage, FAC, Bram bos Kosmonaut, Klevgrand Korvpressor & SquashIt are mainstays. All I need, for sure.
The only others I’d recommend are K-Devices Shaper, and Living Memory’s Wavefolder.
I concur with the above sentiments that Audio Damage, DDMF, FAC, Klevgrand are all exceptional devs with top-shelf apps. Anything by them is, indeed, ‘buy them’ you (probably) won’t be disappointed.
I’ve stated this on various and numerous threads but I highly recommend VirSyn’s Bark Filter. It’s a combo compressor/filter(eq) with a built in audio analyzer. Well worth the investment! It’s on sale at the monemnt too!
What about Dedalus ?
Nice have .. most of these .. don’t have fux eq but have zMors eq and of 6144..... don’t have maxima too? Your take on maXima? I have nolimits limiter though...
I have Eos2 .. any reason to lean towards envelope reverb ?
Among compressors I love the bark filter too in addition to your list ..I would like to add Kosmonaut to dubstation
No Limits limiter is meh compared to Maxima, but that’s my two cents. If you have zMors EQ and EOS 2, no real need for FuxEQ and Envelope. I didn’t know bark filter also compressed. Neato!
A lot of Amazing Noises crazy stuff got recent updates for AU support, too. I don’t think it spells it out too clearly in the app description but you can check the update history to see if it got the update to support AU.
There is this awesome master list as well.

I’ve avoided getting Maxima because I already have No Limits. Any additional details on why I might like Maxima better?
No Limits is a limiter (and that’s its primary function) whereas Maxima is a maximizer (which uses a fair few different processes, not just limiting). Maxima is far more transparent and better suited for mastering whereas No Limits is better suited as glue for a drum buss (and I’ve used it that way on one of my tracks from a couple of years back). If No Limits suits your needs though, all the better.
Great explanation, thanks!
Great! I always thought Maximisers and Limiter were the same thing in the broadest sense and interchangeable, Ozone maximiser being my reference .. however I need to check maxima .. since you mentioned it's transparent
I hope something like Deemax is available as an app, so simple and effective, no knob knoodling
