A year ago I upgraded my Air1 to a 2017 ipad and now workflows that worked in my head now actually work on iOS.
To me after six years of iPads I can now do the sort of things I want without constant dragon chasing aggravation.
That will be a pretty significant difference...
The upgrade @AudioGus is talking about was already ~double performance.
There’s no keyboard for this thing is there?
As in QWERTY?
And as in Apple, like I have on this iPad Pro.
Nope. No official one. The 'smart connector' is Pro only too for now.
2GB confirmed.

Pretty good upgrade compared to my Air 2 (1800 - 4300 VS 3500 - 5900)...
Apple will probably sell a lot of these ones. But last Friday I bought not this new one but a 12,9 inch Pro. Liked the bigger screen. But maybe I will buy a 2018 model also. Sometimes a smaller iPad is more convenient.
2GB
The price for the iPad 2018 is lower than the 2017 model in Germany. Dropped from €399 to €349.
Wikipedia has good technical specification overviews for the iPad. Taking a look at theses far better than I could explain with my own words.
And the also list the RAM of the models.
I bought a 2017 one month ago
Do you think the increase power is worth the hassle of selling the 2017 model and get the 2018 one ?
Thanks ;-)
Unless you encounter a specific problem which you can report, I'd say no. If it had more than 2GB my conclusion could be different, but it doesn't.
unless you value pencil use..
True, but the question referred to power
If you can do it for 40 Dollar or less: Then i would do it.
