Will Gadget ever get multiple outputs?
Like many other apps like Patterning, Layr, Seekbeats and AUM.

My question is: Will Gadget ever get AU and Files support?
@Satie I 2nd this wish but highly doubt will happen, but if Korg did this, it would put Gadget right back into the centre of my current improv style workflow. I could pipe each one of of the ADAT on my brand new Audiofuse into the Safire Pro 40.
AU blah blah not bothered.
I hope so to all of the above, but somehow, I am not very hopeful it will ever happen.
I approach Gadget like it is some external hardware unit with only stereo output capability. I patiently mute all but one track and record that, then repeat for every remaining track. It takes a while and is boring tedium, but what else can you do if you want to use something with only stereo out, but have separate tracks?
Using export is smoother and faster for me than what you describe. For export to AudioShare, you can do it one track at a time, without all the muting and un-muting.
When exporting to Dropbox, you can export all the tracks in one pass though having to upload and download all that to Dropbox is far from ideal. Individual track export to AudioShare is quicker overall. I wish the AudioShare export could work as the Dropbox export does.
I have been using Gadget in Cubasis, driving it with Midi and recording the audio, so I rarely use the Gadget sequencer. It’s sequencer was kinda funky to me at first. But I have been trying to do something for the Gadget Challenge and have finally clicked with the Sceneflow methods of the Gadget sequencer. It’s actually really easy to record the midi into Gadget, so I may try to use the sequencer more and use the Export workflow you have described. Thanks for the tip.

Yeh, that workflow in the Gadget sequencer is not ideal. Sequencing from something (anything) else is way more comfortable. Recording midi-in to Gadget does work well in my experience though. Tip: AudioBus global transport is a great way to get everything going in sync when recording the midi.
Being able to use the Gadget's as AUv3's would very nice indeed...
Yes! Didn’t they do that with the Mac port..
Indeed! Audiobus has become my answer to the synchronized start problem, so it is used in most of my current workflows as a master host. Just started using the Save Preset and IAA state feature, lol. It is pretty rockin’.
They did, so it is doable for sure
