Which MOOG app would you have wanted?
Are you over the moon with Model6 or is there another MOOG app you would have liked to have seen in lieu of Model D?
Comments
Model 6?
This:

(pssttt.....but that would close to what you would get if P900 would have been here).
Is the new iPad Pro in June of this year tipping a 30” screen?
Here the specs:

No but really. All i know from the developer of P900 that he was close to release it for iOS but forgot about it due to the market. This could have to take nearly there indeed. And it is the best sounding synth from all i ever own/used/demoed....at least in my worthless opinion of course and for the sounds i like to do with vintage/analog.
Incredible!!!!! I stand corrected we will need a fifty inch screen ah heck just order the hardware it’s only 150 Gs and you only live once
Or that thing Hans Zimmer has in his room.
A Roland System 100M.
Funny he just posted for some time in another forum that Roland were trying to clean up their warehouse in the 90’s and sold the modules to him by the weight:$25 a kilo... Amazing!
Polyphonic Sub37 app with a modulation matrix would be neat
Nice deal......wonder what deals Vangelis gets?
Well they gave me what I would have asked for with model d, but a future request would be AUv3 moogerfoogers
We need the 960 sequential controller in Model 15 first
I’m really happy with the Model D. Some apps have a ‘feeling’ about them that makes them a pleasure to use - Model D is one of those
I would love to see some of the less common Moog models get apps:
Polymoog
Moog Source
Moog Prodigy
Multimoog
I'd also love some of the more modern synth, but maybe the ones no longer in production:
Moog Voyager XL
Little Phatty
Sub Phatty
I don't think that putting out apps of these would impact the HW sales much as I don't truly believe that they are the same market. What I mean is that the folks who are inclined to by HW aren't necessarily looking for an app as a replacement for a physical synth.
At least, this is my $0.02.
Agree totally. If I could afford some Moog hardware, I would not care that I’ve got app versions. To be honest, Model D has made me want a hardware Moog even more!
This for sure - I WAS contemplating a Behringer Model D until the app dropped. But at this point it seems silly...
There you go, good call--and I would guess that is actually realistic to do in ios.
Polymoog is great for creamy strings and stuff.
Ah.....they just should release everything as app as well as VST/AU.
Maybe one day if the hardware sales are cut when Behringer put all their synths out for $99 it´s that time.
I think there is just something special about how Moog make certain synths. While obviously they now look closer at pricing to remain profitable within a complicated market, they often build with other things in mind before price. To me they build true instrumemts with heart
Maybe that’s what the empty space is for at the bottom of the UI
True. Look at all the Eurorack tools. It´s growing. There is Reaktor and other outstanding modulars in software but hardware is hardware. It´s not only about the sound output i think.
yes and yes, please.
Filtatron as AU would also be super welcome. 100% happy to pay for it as a v2/new app.
Would also be interesting to see a new app based on Filtatron with the sampler expanded some so that you could play it chromatically, mess with the loop points via MIDI, etc. 960 sequencer as IAP, natch.
Or 960 sequential controller as an AU midi effect.
Apart from that, I would like to see Moog develop a new app that isn’t emulating hardware. Animoog was a huge success for them, and I’m sure they’re capable of coming up with something fresh again.
yes and yes, please.
Animoog as a AU MIDI controller, perhaps with other features but just a separate Animoog keyboard with midi mapping would be wonderful.
Filtatron would be infinitely more useful as an AUv3.
Moog Opus 3 app with more effects
I’d like an iOS theremini, provided it worked just like a real theremini, and not just faking it with a touchscreen. Then it could be proper left handed, which the actual theremini can’t be.
A Moogossilator synth/sequencer using the Animoog engine. But as you all know, some ideas are just too good
In the meantime we have Rozeta LFOs.
The effects pedals are something I would like to see on iOS. I would probably have been most excited about new animoog sounds for the timbres. Having said that I owe Apple a few euros for music subscription so won't have the model D until Saturday.
I'm hoping this great price is still going to be an option by then. Has anyone got any idea how long it will last?
