Anyone have this and want to offer an opinion? I see it is ancient at 6 years old, but seems up to date with 64bit support and pretty current Audiobus support. I just bought the whole Syntronik collection, which includes great versions of the Roland Juno synths. I probably don’t need this, but if it sounds and plays good enough I will get it for a buck.
No AU. Crappy chorus. It’s supposed to emulate a Juno-60, I believe, but these days there are better apps available. It doesn’t sound much like a Juno-60, but it does sound vintage. If you want a Juno-60ish sound, look at Syntronik or DRC.
Cool. Skip. Thanks.
.
I actually love epic synth. Try using the app emo chorus with the huge choir patch followed by eos 2 reverb. It sounds killer! It has a sweet 80’s vibe.
I favor it for its simplicity and tone. Also the Arp is really nice and the layout for iPhone is among the best layed out for screen real estate.
Easy patch switching and patch editing too.
And...you can email patches to your buddies 😉
Do yourself a favor and buy it while it’s on sale.
Just know up front to get the best sounds out of it you will need to add chorus/reverb and maybe a delay.
A lot of hardware synths require the same treatment to really make them shine.
Dang it, now I am leaning toward buying again. WTF, it’s just a dollar. And I got the goods when it comes to FX. Freakin’ Juno 60 is the only hardware synth I ever owned, too.
Oh well, I guess no chocolate doughnut tomorrow.
Be sure to let us know how you feel about it after you’ve played with it a bit 🙂
