Vote for AB Forums April Sound Fest

This is the vote for which synth we will do our sounds for in April.

As far as I can see all these synths will be fine for collecting sounds that people post or send to me. If I do encounter major problems, we may have to wing it lol.

We can add other synths to the voting list over time!

Sorry if your fav synth is not here - this does not mean it will not be added to the vote eventually.

The vote will run for one week to give all a chance (I will stop the vote with a post on here exactly one week from now UK time)

Please feel free to start making sounds for any of these or any synths that have good save share options - hopefully we shall do them all in time :)

  • Will admit the only one I don’t have is LayR, so any save and share issues with that one, let me know. I will buy it soon :)

  • Voted for Zeeon, still have some ’unshared’ patches that just need minor tweaks :)

  • I like the pretty colours of graph lines :*

  • Nice! Zeeon out front with an early lead. Very interested to see how this unfolds.

Re: LayR. The sharing system in the forthcoming update will make this very easy. Import / export to the standard services of entire banks, individual performance presets as well as individual instrument presets.

Excited to hear those. I’ve begun work on a chip-tune bank for Zeeon, which it does surprisingly well.

All in due time, being a SID addict some of the patches will definitely be inspired by it.

Those slowly sweeping pulse-widh leads (starting with narrow pulse sweeping to square and back with a vibrato that fades in) are quite addictive.

Without a step sequencer the arpeggios are pretty much limited to octave-drills.

If there is one feature I'd love Zeeon to get it's a 'modulation sequencer' or at least custom LFO wave (1-16 steps) with smooth and stepped option.

I'm looking forward to Layr and it's new modulation matrix even though I don't know what it will include but I suspect a LOT :)

  • I voted LayR, as I haven’t got a clue how it works

  • Of the eight on offer I have only three of them. So I voted for Zeeon

  • i only have model 15, so my vote is for addictive pro which smashes all the others :)

Love Addictive Pro, but as far as I know it does not have a full bank export and import, only single sounds (hope I’m wrong) :)

  • If while we are waiting for the vote to finish, you can all keep posting or sending me Model D patches ready for pack 2. I’ve already got a few from people lol

  • I have more synths than I need but surprisingly only one on that list so voted Kauldron

Surprisingly decent synth. I didn’t like many of the factory patches as they are often swamped in fx, so I did some with little to no fx. Surprised how much dirt I can get from this synth.

  • yeah, think you're right about single presets for additive. be good to be able to listen to the user pack with a vid once it's finished. i''ll go for m15 then

  • Lol, I only have Model 15 and Kauldron. I am going to vote for Zeeon, and try to learn Model 15 better for when it’s turn comes. Kauldron already has the cool Spawn thing so I don’t even know if that one is needed, but I suppose an awesome, curated collection of Kauldron presets would be really useful.

  • I voted for Zeeon but I’d definitely be down for model 15. Already have some patches ready to go.

  • Just bumping to see if anyone else wants to vote and has not seen this yet :)

  • Zeeon is obviously up there with the best on iOS but it already has over 350 presets... There are less than 50 available for Ripplemaker. I guess I need to get patching

  • I'll pitch in prospectively for May and suggest adding Montpellier to the list above (iMono/Poly's Gadget counterpart). Hopefully at some point they'll enable patch-sharing between the two versions — same with Odyssei for that matter — but I won't hold my breath. It'd be nice to work on some more inspirational presets to use within Gadget.

Have voted Model 15 for this round :)

  • Roll up roll up.....

  • Looks like it's Zeeon.... I've got a few, but I'll have to get crackin' over here.

Same here. Not really done much with Zeeon yet, so will be a little learning curve. No basic sounds really needed, as most covered within the packs available.

Am still going to do the votes till I originally said, but can’t see it changing to be honest.

  • Wow, huge push for Ripplemaker since I last checked the poll results. That is freakin’ awesome! B)

  • I'm in the (currently) 5.45% of most interesting people on this forum.

That comment might not make any sense in a few days time if the votes change ;)

  • I am enjoying (currently) a bag of Doritos. :p

  • Vote for best underappreciated synth people. Vote Ripplemaker!

  • Only one day to go
