IK releases Syntronik Deluxe for Desktop with 5 More Synths - Will it Come to iOS?
http://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/syntronikdeluxe/
Syntronik Deluxe adds 500 new instrument presets, 18GB of new sounds, and more than 22,000 new samples for a new total of 22 synths, 2,600 instrument presets, 80GB of sound content and more than 120,000 samples.
Interestingly, some of these new synths already exist in iOS, including Mono/Poly and Polysix, and VCS3. And perhaps you could include Model 15 too, as it is certainly a "Modular Moog."
Memory-V: IK's take on the legendary Memorymoog 6-voice, 18-oscillator analog polysynth from the USA. It features 148 instrument presets, 5GB, over 6,000 samples.
SH-V: Based on two highly-stylized two oscillator Roland® monosynths, the SH-5 and SH-2 from Japan. It features 100 instrument presets, 4GB, over 5,000 samples.
M-Poly: Based on Korg's Mono/Poly and Polysix.. It features 100 instrument presets, 4GB, over 3,000 samples.
VCF3: IK's take on the British tabletop modular, the EMS VCS3 from the UK. It features 106 instrument presets, 3GB, over 7,000 samples.
Modulum: Analog modular drums and percussion created with interconnected Modular Moog®, EMS VCS3 and Alesis® Andromeda synths. It features 108 instrument presets, 400MB, over 2,000 samples.
I paid $100 for the original Syntronik in the prebuy offer and this is $100 for an upgrade. So if IK introduces these other synths for iOS, it won't be cheap. Maybe they'll just let you buy them in app.

thanks for the heads up. On the desktop how do you compare syntronik to Arturia, Omnisphere, or uvi the vault 2?
Not comparable to Arturia V collection IMO, which are all incredibly powerful software recreations of the synths, infinitely tweakable as such. V collection 6 happens to be my favorite PC synth collection, just ahead of the ones that came with NI Komplete 11 standard.
Syntronik is closer to UVI Vault 2 , as a sample player with relatively limited tweakability. Definitely great sounds in each, but if I had a need for them, I'd probably go for UVI over Syntronik, as it's a more extensive collection (though more costly)
I did post this earlier but I don’t think anyone noticed amid all the Model D excitement.

I have no know clue if this will be ported but think it will
thanks I have v-collection 6 but I often wonder about how syntronik stands up within the context of it being samples... I know Arturia is modeling...
IMHO it stands up very well. I haven't had much love for the sound of most Arturia models. I LOVE Syntronik for the Multis and the effects. I turn to it more. I love the few UVI synths I own and wish I had more. I suspect that if you had Falcon and a lot of UVI synths, the result might be "better" than Syntronik.
As for Omnisphere, I've never thought to compare it to compendiums of classic synths or Kontakt sample libraries.
It can make classic analog sounds and it uses samples (while it is not a sampler), but it is just something that is so great and so different on its own. You can have a great synth and the best Kontakt library in the market, but it can't do what Omnisphere does. I never fail to be amazed by it.
I feel that way about keyscape... it mesmerizes me to no end... been holding off on omni... one of these days.
Hmm, I’m not a big fan of synthesized drums, ios already has a VCS3 and a MonoPoly, and the MemoryMoog was essentially a polyphonic MiniMoog and we’ve got plenty of them, including the latest Model D. I am interested in the SH one though as my very first synth was an SH5 and just the interface makes me very nostalgic for it. Of course as it’s not a full recreation, you can’t do some of the tricks that you could on the original, but maybe they’ve captured some of those in the samples.
You will be very glad when you do. I resisted it for years and then regretted having waited. What I discovered is that there were lots of libraries that I paid $20, $30 here and there, and even a $100, I could make similar sounds with more sonic options within Omnisphere. For example all the choirs and vocals and ethnic instruments. And the library of unusual samples and phrases is out of this world.
But I know, it's scary to spend that kind of money. The best way to get it is at a store like Musican's Friend that has regular 15% off and 25% off sales and then gives you points.
And you get something like 1200 extra presets if you have Keyscape and Omnisphere.
Yep!..... Omnisphere is the "Dogs Gonads".......
I don't know what it is... silly but I have been turned off of spectra's user interfaces since atmosphere, but as soon as I heard Keyscape I don't think $400bucks has ever left my pocket so fast... I keep emailing them begging for the steam features to be implemented into keyscape along with making it multi-timbral, and a host for vst fx but I guess they don't want to give up the steam engine without omnisphere. I wish they would change omnisphere's ui it just doesn't look inviting to me in any way.
@kobamoto If you play Keyscape within Omnisphere, you can add 58 Spectrasonics fx units and up to 16 at a time. 4 banks of 4.
I am in agreement with you that the UI of Omnisphere isn't beautiful. It doesn't have the appeal of Output's stuff, for example. But I like the UI because on the surface it's simple enough for a newbie and, if you want to, you can get into the billions of options that it has.
I think that kind of thing isn't easy to do, and it's why Spectrasonics spends so many years building their products and why people keep using them for so many years.
The plan is to also port these to iOS but I don't have a specific timetable to share at this time.
Good news!
