Hurry! Model D IAP recommendations before the sale ends

Which pack are worth getting? I listened to Doug’s vids and purchased the Astral pack so far.

  • I got all the $2 packs. I got them to help me learn. If you know what you are doing with synth sound design, you probably only need these for convenience, since you could make them yourself. I actually just spent around $30 on the cheap packs from all 3 Moog synths. I think they all sound great, but really just sort of flipped through them this afternoon after buying them.

It seems like they are. I don’t remember them being so cheap. The Model D packs are almost all only $2 each, so I expect those to go up in price with the app price tonight. I might never know since I bought the $2 packs.

  • where can you demo the packs?

  • Doug only demo one pack.

  • They are great. Avoid Cabinet of Curiosities if you don’t want goofy patches like The Lonely Manatee. I didn’t get sonic mayhem either — I can do that on my own.

  • If I were to buy Animoog's midi expansion, does that mean I can play Model D effectively with the blades layout etc.?

you can control model D with animoog ( if you create a preset where all the timbres are SILENCE). But I can’t make it play like an expressive animoog preset.
    Edit: ThumbJam, though, works nicely.

Or just turn the volume down on Animoog ;)

  • Sales ended now. 16.99 euros

  • IAPs are still the same price I believe...

They ARE still on sale. Awesome!

If anyone picked up Animoog in the sale like me, you can get the 4track IAP for free by registering Animoog. You don’t have to buy it, unless you really want to. I chose free. B)

  • I’m guessing the IAPs are not on sale. They are probably the regular price. They are just presets, so they should be relatively cheap. After all, this Forum can up with 100 free presets in less than 24 hrs.

Yes, I could also crank out many presets, but unfortunately for me most if not all would be shite. :D The presets help me learn by reverse engineering them. That Model D cookbook will help a lot, too.

I am still in the pupae stage of sound design. B)

  • Yeah loved Astral and Heper Pads!

  • which pack has the most classic sounds?

  • OT: I ever asked me if the Animoog MIDI Expansion Pack is worth the money, already having a bunch of controller- and MIDI-Apps?
