    @tja: You can record the audio from the synth in any app you want, yeah... although for sending the "test MIDI", I can personally only recommend Xequence because it's the only sequencer whose implementation I know and where I'm sure it sends the MIDI with correct timing... and it should send directly to the target app, not "through" Cubasis or anything because that might again mess with the timing.
