Viking synth question

Does Viking synth need to be used in conjunction with another app in order for it to operate correctly? I noticed by itself the volume level is really low. Thank you in advance. Also, I'm using an M-Audio Hammer 88 as my midi controller.

Answer is yes. It’s an auv3 plug-in. Use AUM, Cubasis, modstep or any other AU host.
In cubasis you can put a compressor on it to boost the volume. A nice simple synth that doesn’t use a lot of cpu power. I hope this was helpful enough.
Your midi controller should be quite ok.
