    MOV is just a 'container format'. The content inside it is most likely x264/MP4 already.
    (LumaFusion should cover most export/convert needs).

    Zheng Weijie's Video Compress is free and works fantastically! I've taken a 130 Mb video and compressed it down to less than 5 Mb so that I could send it as a multimedia text to someone. I recommend it!

    I use workflow. Already had it and had settings for most common resolutions. Does lots of other handy things too, so bang for buck and all that.

    You can use Any Video Converter to converter Free to convert MOV videos for your iPad, but i am afraid that it is a desktop application and you need to operate it on your Mac machine. :)
