BM3 multi layered instrument
Hello,
Can anybody confirm that BM3 allow to create complex multi layered instrument. I’ve read in manual that you can create layers with different velocities, and that a layer can be triggered on pad release, which is note off. My goal is to sample nice basses with different velocity layers and that note off sound which can make them much more realistic.
Another question: you are not forced to use pads and can play those melodic multi layered instruments (and their note off samples) with BM3 keyboard, correct?
And last one: if anyone has done the process, not too long in comparison with Kontakt and other desktop samplers or does it take weeks to do an instrument with audioshare imports, touchscreen, etc?

Yes.
Yes.
Takes minutes, drag n drop to mapper, map to correct keys, tweak.
This. BM3 magic.
Nice to read this thanks!!
BM2 does all this too!
Thanks for info. I see BM2’s layering by zone and velocity, but don’t see samples layer triggering on pad/note release, like BM3. Is it possible? Where is the option?
Don’t know if possible in BM2. @Samplemunch this was a yes in BM3, how is it done?
When creating a bank in BM3, you can toggle between how you add samples to the bank. In the bottom of the screen shots, this is indicated in red.
Look at the layer trigger parameter, you will have one shot/hold/on release options.
Cool thanks. Looks like this isn’t a feature of BM2....
BM3 is vastly superior to BM2 in most ways, but for some people who prefer its workflow, they can work past that
