Looping WAV drum samples while practising guitar?

Hey, I'm using JamUp Pro on my iPad to practice electric guitar.

One feature I'm missing is the ability to import and play my own drum samples.

I've got gigabytes of WAV drum loops that I'd love to practice over, but JamUp Pro doesn't support this feature.

Is there an app that does?

Or, is there a good Audiobus capable app for storing and playing WAV drum samples on infinite loop that I can run in the background while playing through JamUp Pro?

Thanks!

  • Blocs Waves .. basic app is free. Load your own drum loops and change the tempo easily

  • I often use AUM's integrated file player for such stuff.
The biggest advantage of AUM is that it allows to track the raw guitar input simultanously with the JamUp processed signal. handy when you want to record some ideas on the fly.
In an Audiobus only system I'd probably use Loopy or Audioshare for playback, but there are lots of possibilities.

  • Any reason you don’t want to convert them to high quality mp3 and just use the built in player?

  • Loopy HD comes to mind...

Do you have AUM? It will play loops. Or you could load them into Garageband.

  • Looptunes should do what you want as well.

  • Audioshare will also loop WAVs. If you don't already have it, you need it.

  • I put the samples into AudioShare and load them into the file player in AUM. The only thing I wish it had was time stretching. The way it is now it changes pitch when you change the tempo. Other than that it’s great and I can keep the huge load of samples in AudioShare, no need to export or import...

  • Possibly more useful/fun for practice because you can quicky change the style and tempo might be something like Rock Drum Machine or one of Luis' other apps.
