Zeeon On-screen Keyboard Issues (anyone else?)

I’ve noticed a problem with the Zeeon on-screen keyboard in stand-alone.

When playing adjacent keys.. (i.e.: Eb & E) it doesn’t recognize the E key press most of the time.
This happens regardless of mono, poly or unison mode. Does this with every preset.
Doesn’t matter if keyboard is locked or scrollable, 2 octave or 3 octave.
And it isn’t limited to just those 2 keys.

The only consistent workarounds that I’ve found are either press the very left edge of the black key.
Or press one note, release and press the next note. Or, of course, play with an external midi keyboard.
So seems to me this could be an issue with overlapping ‘hot spots’ on the black & white keys.

I’ve done a hard reboot and issue still persists.

(iPad Pro 12.9, latest Zeeon, latest iOS)

    The keyboard is definitely not as responsive as in other synth apps, it seems like the area that is sensitive to finger touches is not larger than the keys themselves - they should at least reach to the bottom of the screen and have no gaps between keys.

  • Zeeon may need the fix enabled for the keys near the edge of the screen. I can't remember what this fix is specifically called

    Agreed! The bottom of the screen in non responsive.

  • Yeah definitely has some issues. Only really noticed since doing sounds for the SoundFest. Wish Apple would just move that bar from the bottom, as the top pull down hardly ever effects apps. I’m forever bringing up the app bar :/

  • Not just the bottom of the screen for me. Here is a quick vid example of the issue I was describing:

  • Notice it works fine when I press the left edge of the key but not the center as I would normally.

    Yes, I’m definetly getting that problem too

    I’m on latest iOS on an Air2, so it’s not specific to your iPad model

  • Thanks everyone. I was ready to try a reinstall with fingers crossed that I’d be able to find all my presets again.

  • I still wait until i just can hide this whole keyboard like in Sunrizer.
    Indeed every iOS app should have this option by default.
    I also have the feeling latency is higher since iOS 11 but it might be just me.

    That's something that developers can fix quite easily and it's something that has to be done if/when iOS moves to even more gesture based operation(like the Notch Phone).

    For developers...

    Add Code below to your UIViewController

    -(UIRectEdge)preferredScreenEdgesDeferringSystemGestures
    {
    return UIRectEdgeAll;
    }
