  • The iTrack Dock can also mix one stereo input with the iPad's audio out (monitoring), if that's enough, and the level is adjustable. Sufficient for my "apps join hardware" tests.

I have this unit as well and do like it, but from my experience the stereo input in monitoring mode is mixed together as 2 mono inputs (which is fine for vocals, guitar, etc. but not great for monitoring a stereo instrument like a keyboard with L/R outputs).

Really? Thanks, didn't notice yet, I'll have to check that.

  • How is the mx1 working for you? I just got one and I can’t seem to figure out how implement transport control in Audiobus. I’ve tried using midi Learn in patterning to no avail.

The Yamaha AG06 will do the job nicely. It works standalone and the interface has 3 different modes selectable from a switch on the hardware. Latency is nice and low, you can power with USB battery and the built in effects are surprisingly good. It has a dedicated guitar channel with an amp sim and spx reverb which can be toggled using a foot switch. Having a separate monitor out is very useful too. I got one used last year for less than €100 and so far it has been flawless on iOS and windows.

Yamaha have awesome audio quality for the price in their sound cards/mixers too.
