Tape stop and Halftime effect for IOS?

I’m looking for something that can do these effects. I’m looking at Effectrix but I’m not sure it can do both. Using BM3 and Gadget

Isn't there a sample manipulation thing for Gadget? I'm not at the house so can't check my iPad.

Effectrix does tape stop, but not half time. For real half time, you need something that records, it doesn't really work as a real time effect. I wish it came standard on all looping software, but it don't.

Is the BM3 half time function also take the pitch down, like a slowed down tape, or is it a digital time compression thing that keeps the original pitch?

Loving slows it down and pitches down... just adjusts playback speed. Oh if only Cubasis and Blocs could.

It does both types.

Lauchpad has one, I haven't used it all that much. Samplr might get your there in tape mode..

Elastic drums patterns make half time easy to get going and effectrix is a great combination as others have mentioned!

Effectrix can definitely do both. Effectrix is the only app I’ve seen that can half time as an effect. It’s probably the closest I’ve seen to a gross beat type of half time effect. Flux fx can do tape stop but I’m not sure about half time.

That Fly Tape app looks amazing though.

I reallly like the spin fx in cubasis but I don’t want to use a daw just for the effect unless I have to. How would I do these in BM3? I thought it would be in the effects

Doing either as an effect is terrible, as an effect both need to use a buffer, this causes latency, if there is no latency compensation it is all over the place (Try a buffer effect in Maschine on the desktop to hear how bad that can sound, no PDC)
Much better to do it realtime, like this.

Halftime

A) In the sampler (Oldschool change pitch and time/Non destructive) = Turn tune dial to -12

B ) In the sampler (Oldschool change pitch and time/destructive) = Set BPM of sample, press edit, go to process, choose stretch n pitch, options 1/2 and -12st

C) In the sampler (Timestretch, change time but not pitch/Destructive) = Set BPM of sample, press edit, go to process, choose stretch n pitch, options 1/2 and 0st

D) In the sampler (Timestretch, change time but not pitch/Non Destructive will follow song tempo) = Set BPM of sample to twice its original tempo and turn on live stretch (Caveat Beatmaker currently only goes up to 300 BPM for samples, so anything faster than 150 BPM is a no go)

E) On the timeline (Timestretch, change time but not pitch/Non Destructive will follow song tempo) = Load sample on an audio track, double tap it or hit edit, Set the BPM of sample to twice its original tempo and turn on live stretch (Caveat Beatmaker currently only goes up to 300 BPM for samples, see above)

F) On the timeline (Oldschool change pitch and time/Destructive) = Load sample on an audio track, double tap it or hit edit, Set the BPM of sample, press edit, go to process, choose stretch n pitch, options 1/2 and -12st

G) On the timeline (Timestretch, change time but not pitch/Destructive) = Load sample on an audio track, double tap it or hit edit, Set the BPM of sample, press edit, go to process, choose stretch n pitch, options 1/2 and 0st

(There is also the autoscale option, but that doesn't seem to follow tempo like it used to, so no point adding it here)

2 Tape Stop (Deck Stop for us DJs)

This can only be done in the sampler, open track or pattern automation, go to relevant sample, automate the tune of the sample down over time.
Remember you can use this with livestretch etc mentioned above to get pitch down without tempo change and so on too.
