  • Have you considered adding kitchen sink samples into this?

@giku_beepstreet will it be possible to have probability/trig condition options for ‘only the parameter lock’? Like an option in the probablity/trig conditions for step/s so it only applies to parameters? Not to the note on/off/pitch? I’m not explaining it very well :/ Hopefully you get what I mean :)

In elektron land it’s all or nothing with probability/trig conditions on a step. Would be very cool to be able to have options..

Yes, conditional trigless p-locks are on board

How much is Drambo likely to cost, just so I can set money aside for it?

It will be relatively cheap :)

    Ooh, can’t wait... 👍

Haha, was just thinking of how much fun Op1 radio+sampler combo is ;) Having that in drambos modular environment + its elektron style sequencer...wow :)

lol. Not messing with you in particular, but that is the trend of this thread. I just want it in the wild already. Already seems to have plenty of useful features.

Bit of an odd one to request but have you considered throwing a radio module in the mix @giku_beepstreet? Would be really fun for random sampling and quick happy accidents etc?

Great idea! I'm using Streemur in AudioShare to record and trim then slice in GR-16 but I can imagine being totally sucked into a pre-buffered radio streamer module streaming up to 4 stations that has modulation inputs for 4 radio station volumes B)

    Maybe stealing the threat/OT;
but can AUs do streaming from the web or is there something in the sandbox preventing that? Or phrased differently, why is Streemur or Ström not AUv3 already?

there is no antenna for shortwave radio in iOS devices ...

Streaming commonly uses http(s) over tcp sockets and I know of no reason why an AUv3 couldn't use one.

These are higher level components, with DRM protection. I'm not sure if I can access raw audio buffers, gonna check this one day.

Most streaming services (i.e. web radio) don't use DRM. Usually, a compressed and unencrypted audio format like mp3 or aac is streamed over http/https.
If you have a Mac, try something like
    mplayer "http://ice2.somafm.com/groovesalad-128-mp3"
in Terminal. (You can find mplayer in the homebrew repository)

IMHO the fun with sampling radio is all the shortwave noise and random junk you get over shortwave ...

You wouldn't believe how much fun stuff you can find on web radio stations. Music you've never heard about, audio books and plays, strange languages ... everyday new surprises, stuff that you'd never be able to receive on an OP-1 :D

    that's more wicked fun ;)
works on batteries and without net

If you prefer shortwave bands then try SDR:
websdr.ewi.utwente.nl:8901/m.html (try 15130kHz with AM modulation)

  • @rs2000 SomaFM so good  you've reminded me I haven't listened in a VERY long time

It is B) (and don't forget to support them, the amount of genres on offer is insane.)

If you like that, you gotta try...a Tesla 'spirit' radio.

I built one of these. I use it to commune with the spirits of electromagnetic waves. And run weirdness into my analog synths.

    Cool, neat site too!

I've been getting into this guy lately, he makes interesting stuff from weird sources:

  • The wait... It's killing me...

    When will Beepstreet give birth?

  • How often do you guys even use all the stuff you're asking for. Or is it just the idea of having it
