Where is the AppStore link?
I had an octatrack 3 times, and every time I sold it for compelled reasons. for me, an octatrack is primarily an incredibly smooth work with scenes. it’s not just a drag-and-drop of settings, between two positions A and B several galaxies can burn out and be born again. I had an octatrack from the first small batch of the release, then I put a flash card into it, and this card with all the projects and samples I have is waiting for it to get into the fourth quarter. the octatrack is quite reliable, there are bugs but they are few, and it is rather difficult to get a critical error. many aspects of the octatrack are more than overlapped with an iPad and without drumbo, slices, effects, sounds, various synthesis, all this is better on the iPad. but the applications on the iPad are unreliable, I'm sure drumbo will not be an exception, and I can only dream of a super-smooth change of many parameters with a simple movement of one fader. like many I am waiting for a drumbo, and of course I will buy it at least out of curiosity, I hope it will cure my attempts to buy an octatrack for the fourth time.
I've gone the other way...I'm now eyeing the Deluge much more seriously - does it play with ios ok?
Looks like I should have bought a 12.9” iPad...
A sample player/sampler like the DigiTakt, Battery, Machinedrum UW, or something along those lines, is the missing part of iOS music for me. I’ve tried almost all of the sample apps that are out there and none have clicked. The sampler in Beatmaker 3 is awesome but it has a DAW I do not care for attached to it.
Trying not to get too excited about Drambo but I think I’ve caught the bug. Hopefully @giku_beepstreet will be kind.
It works well on pro 10.5 but I can imagine iPhone version is going to be painful to work on properly.

Yeah awhile back a phone version screenshot was posted and it looked not crap. Obviously a bigger screen makes most things easier, but it looked totally usable

If you're spending a lot of time in the wave editor you will get fatigued from the small screen and put it on a shelf. Also, prep samples in a DAW and use octachainer app makes it a lot more enjoyable to use.>
This! For me the most tedious thing for me about working with the Octatrack - is preparing samples for it in Soundforge! The more I use the OT, the more I enjoy it.
TBH, I can't imagine replacing it as a HW midi sequencer with a touchscreen.
I bet Drambo will generate a lot of demand for midi controllers with crossfaders.

I just hope to be able to either use midi-learn steps so I could plug in my Beatstep or K2 to use their pads to sequence drums/percussion for some live performance.
I think I have about 12-16 tracks going at the same time. My dream is to sequence drums and percussion out of Drambo(midi out) and get 2 leads morphable via crossfade. If the CPU can handle it (and we have multi out) I‘d try to get 4-5 times the 2 leads out of Drambo.
I'm not sure if I believe that Drambo exists. All the videos and screenshots could just be clever CGI...
Yeah, took me a minute too. But once you play with it it's more intuitive than you might imagine.
Tap in some notes to start off, and then add the modules just like you would with audio modules.
And just like the other modules, order matters. So if you want a note to trigger every third repeat, add a cycle condition before the note. If you want randomness, add a random condition before the note. If you want polyrhythms, use the "jump" module. If you want these steps to lock to a scene, use the scene condition and choose the letter you want.
This is the only app I’ve ever anticipated the release of . It’s culminated in an unhealthy addiction to this forum . Jeebus... I hope it comes out soon !!!!
indeed, midi crossfader controller not included.
What is even more daunting, reading all those beta impressions but not being able to participate in it!

I’m sure iPhone enthusiasts will be thrilled and find their way. What I’m saying is that in fact any app with an exception of maybe Loopy, Bebot and Impaktor would be painful to me. Of course can’t speak for others.

At least its a time when I can say "the app is almost ready". I need yet to fix some bugs and improve a few small areas. I hope for xmass, I'm almost sure about 01.01.20.
