Sonic Logic 3 is out now
Hi everyone!
I'm super happy to announce that Sonic Logic 3 has been released today.
Here are ten new features in Sonic Logic 3:
Multiple MIDI destinations - Control multiple MIDI destinations from one component. Component can now map up to eight different destinations (Channel, CC, value or type). Create complex button, knob and slider mappings. Multiple MIDI destinations also work with timed transition buttons, so one tap of a button can trigger complex timed transitions to multiple destinations.
New top bar and workflow - The new top bar replaces the legacy one with a better workflow, the top bar has a built in MIDI out output indicator, showing exactly what MIDI values are transmitted out.
3. Tab bar - The screen selection and controls have been replaces with an easy and more visible tab bar.
4. Connection center - All of the outgoing connection has been put into one managing screen, tapping on the connection panel anywhere in the app opens it and it’s a one stop shop for all types of connection.
MIDI Logger - the MIDI logger logs all outgoing MIDI traffic, you can easily monitor what data is transmitted in a session. The logger holds up to 10,000 records.
Component creation screen - The new component creation screen has easier controls for selecting component types, presets and edit controls.
Detailed edit screens - The detailed edit screens have been refactored for better control. The group edit screens now allows access only to relevant edit data from a complex group.
Better support for 10.5” and 12.9” devices - Almost all components have been redrawn to fit beautifully on 10.5” and 12.9” screens and are fully scaled for large devices.
Redesign simple edit screens - The simple edit screens now show better grouping and have a blurred background to preserve the work context.
Fixes and tweaks - Bugs squashed and a lot of over perfectionist code has been written to enhance tiny bits of the overall experience.

Dang, very cool. Can it connect 2 iPads with WiFi, or do you need something else to get that to work.
I can do it with Midifire, but was wondering if this can do it by itself.
I want to run this on an iPad 2 and control the apps on an Air 2. Again, this awesome.
Can we back up slightly and say what this app is for, exactly?
Custom midi controller that lets you build a layout of controls is what I figure. Never knew of it before today. Check the link, it looks cool.
it does look cool, but i can’t imagine who it is for.
I want to run these controls from another older device, to midi control my Air 2 over WiFi.
Maybe less screen switching will result.
I haven’t updated yet, but the previous version was pretty solid in sending midi ccs and the like. The new version looks like the features have greatly expanded. Will try soon...
Works fine in AB3 sending cc’s to Troublemaker standalone. Also works quite well sending cc’s to Trublemaker Auv in AUM.
Always had this on my wishlist but never pulled the trigger. Would love to hear how everyone uses this puppy in their workflow.
Hi @CracklePot, Sonic Logic can't control other iOS devices (yet).
It connected to desktops using BT, WiFi and direct USB cable and of course other iOS apps using AB3 and VM.
Connecting two devices via BT will be supported in the near future (SL uses super low latency BT as it sends most of the data during load time and send a minimal set of data while live), WiFi support will take more time.
Uri.
This looks awesome!
Is there a midi IN option?
I’d like to turn some knobs and have it save my settings. I’ve got a Moog Matriarch - no presets, so I figured this could be a workaround.
@Uri_Sonic_Logic Awesome update!!
Do the xypads also have a z control ? Then you could turn a effect on and off by touch and release.
This would also be great to have for sliders.
Its basicly a momentary function for a slider so it jumps back to zero or center the moment you release it.
Also would be nice to have midi input to sync the encoder state with any device that can send midi out.
