    Fx: 75% AU

Would not have guessed this either.

  • I almost never use AU for the window fiddling drives me nuts... o:)

  • 100 AU, I wont use or buy anything non AU unless it is a utility or true standalone app that couldn't be done AU.

  • 100%. AU
    100% IAA
    100% don’t care either way

  • About 95% AU and 5% IAA/AB at the moment. I really enjoy being able to record Parameter Automations using AU compatible apps. Animoog, Hexaglyphics, Borderlands Granular, Samplr and iVCS3 are my main IAA/AB holdouts.

Instr: 85% AU, 15% IAA since some that i love are not available as AU.
FX: 100% AU, except when i work in Auria where i mainly use FabFilters.

I have tons of IAA synth, drums, FX and multi FX (heavy ASS...) but i rarely use them nowadays. I only use special one‘s as IAA where there is no alternative as AU - like Animoog, Nave, Borderlands, Patterning and various Lumbeat drums.

The main advantage of AU for me is ‚total recall‘. I just need to load the song to continue dabbling around - not setup time at all. I switch between the songs quite often, they never get finished

For each IAAs i need to load the correct preset by hand and if i change something, i also need remember to save this new setting. So switching songs with IAAs is a click fest instead of just load and play.

Same here. The Host management of AU apps is indispensable.

  • 98% Au. 2% a single gadget in IAA inside AUM.

This didn't make it to iOS 11, did it? or has it just disappeared from the store. I really liked it.

@oat_phipps The developer gave up on iOS and moved to open-source. If you don't pay the developer fee each year, Apple removes your apps from the company store. Hexaglyphics is 32 bit so it did not make the 64 bit transition. I still have it on my "legacy" iPad Air 1 running iOS 7.1.2. It really is an amazingly expressive app.
"In the last years i made a switch from proprietary platforms to full support to open source technologies. As i no longer want to support a company such as Apple i stopped paying my developer fee, so this app has been retired from the store. I hope to have some time in the future to make a DIY version, maybe using an rPi and a touchscreen. I apologize to all the people who bought my app on Apple devices, but i thought this was the right thing to do."
