If You Miss Z3TA, Check Out Addictive Pro Synth (AUv3)
I really Love Z3TA but I feel its days are numbered sadly. So today I went and recreated some of my fav sounds from Z3TA in Addictive Synth Pro and was blown away! Just saying, if you really love the tone if Z3TA, you owe it to yourself to check out Addictive Synth Pro imho.

Yeah it’s very powerful and warm but Addictive Synth Pro can be tweaked the same.
Hmmm, now you've got me thinking ...
All Virsyn AU’s still on limited sale! Thanks @rthr for the heads up 😃
Yeah I’ve been recording ZT3A in Cubasis but lately it’s been harder and harder to get a clean recording without lowering Z3TA’s output for some odd reason recording via IAA the audio clips. So lately I’ve been turning all my midi tracks to audio just in case it stops working.
But this got me to start tinkering Addictive Synth Pro and I got a great surprise.
So my question to all the Synth gurus are Addictive Synth Pro and Z3TA in the same synthesis field???
So, this one is for all of the virsyn afficianados out there ... does Addictive Pro give me a palette that is different from other virsyn synths or just a bigger palette?
Wow Poseidon is cranking out amazing presets also? Loving that randomizer. Find a great preset you like and random it and wow unlimited free presets!
I’m no synth guru and I don’t own Z3TA but Addictive Pro employs similar architecture to my Kawai k5000 synth - which is the main reason I bought it! The K5000 is an additive synth meaning a waveform is generated by stacking partials (sine waves) at different frequencies and amplitudes.
Layr just may be my own replacement for z3ta+ because what I miss most is all those wave folding and warping tools, and deep versitile mod matrix. Also, I rarely wished for another envelope or LFO with z3ta+ like I do with “vintage” synth apps because z3ta+ has 6 of each. Layr has the architecture to allow anything I might do with z3ta+ and maybe way more. The method of assembly is different but the tools are there. Also, it is subtractive (plus FM if desired), which my ear prefers to additive. Totally subjective I admit.
Yeah thanks! Just haven’t figured out how to replicate some of my favorite patches but I agree, LayR has so much depth it’s amazing!
