Xequence process / midi, audiobus

Ok, learning a lot at the same time so please bear with me...
Using iPad Pro 12.9 256gb
Xequence Audiobus 3 Sunrizer Mood

Ok, I've gotten track one, which is Sunrizer, midi channel 1. I see midi, I hear audio. All good.

Track 2 is Mood synth. I record midi. Upon playback I see the indicator that midi is being processed, however I hear no audio.

I'm assuming this might be an audiobus setup problem. I have both synths setup the same way in audiobus so ... any thoughts. Anyone wish to direct me to where to find answer or help out? Thanks in advance!

  • Get Midiflow Adapter so you can have some control over the midi in Audiobus. You will be able to use the Audiobus midi section with Xequence and your synths, which should solve your issue. I don’t have either of those synths so I can’t test it for you. Maybe someone else can if they have those particular synths.

  • Look in Mood midi settings and check that the Xequence option is selected.

  • Are you running Mood as an AUv3 or as an IAA instrument? It won’t receive midi as an AU in Audiobus without the MidiFlow adapter. If you load the non AU version as an input on the Audio tab of Audiobus you should be fine.

  • Thanks all!

Wim - I open up Mood and set it up in Audiobus (same process with Sunrizer) then switch back to Xequence. Play the song but only hear Sunrizer audio.

  • Just tried all of the above (see first post) in Cubasis. Inter app audio, au all worked well.
