Wow! This is intense!
Hope you will provide this madness to the sound fest patch collecting
I made some too I will contribute.
Need to implement more of the MPE stuff in my patches though
Very cool! It definitely has a unique character.
Love the keyboard nboard iption with this app got to be the closest to owning a Roli Block.
Thanks @david_2017 and @rtuckr - yep, I’m aiming to submit this and a few other patches to the ‘fest’ this month.
Yep @Jumpercollins - it’s very similar to the Roli Seaboard and Noise app’s Keyboards. And also the ‘Aftertouch’ app.
It works best when you figure out the best levels of sensitivity for glide, slide and pressure, depending on what you type of thing you’re playing.
I’d say that honestly, it has quite a ‘narrow range’ but within that range, lots and lots of depth and character. I’m liking it more and more the more I fiddle with it.
@ka010 I can confirm the keyboard latch issue. It’s tough to recreate, but basically a combination of selecting some notes, changing octaves, deselecting.... at some point the app freezes or crashes if I’m using the keyboard latch option. I usually have the arp active as well.
I’m on a 2017 9.7 iOS 11.3.1
@ka010 I can also confirm the keyboard latch issue. It freezes and the sound continues for a few seconds before going away. Also, if you have 2 separate MIDI sources playing the same note a couple times on either standalone or one instance on AU it will crash immediately without the freeze. This 2 MIDI source crash is easy to repeat if you need video evidence.
Thanks, fixed it.
You're welcome
Great, just let me know where to send the invite.

It's a bit hidden but you've always had the option to save changes to an existing patch. You can do so by bringing up the preset browser, find the preset you want to update and swipe that row to the right which will reveal a context menu including the option to update the preset. That said, 1.3 will introduce a shortcut.
Sounds good, noted!
Just shipped 1.2.2 including some more bugfixes.
A fix for that keyboard latch thing will be included in 1.3.
If you come across anything else please do let me know!
I’m having what I think is that 48khz issue on my iPhone 6S, where using the speaker on the phone locks the freq to 48khz, making Volt...well gurgle (is that the technical term?). I know some other apps had similar issues with this, but got sorted out, so I’m hoping it’s an easy-ish fix.
Any chance you could take a peek at this @ka010 ? Routing the sound out of the phone via lightning/headphone jack/bluetooth takes care of it (giving back control over the sample freq to the app). But...the iPhone speaker is still the best portable speaker around:-)
Sure, I'll have a look.
Awesome
@ka010 nice work on the updates!
How does the delay tempo sync work? If I have SYNC button either on or off ... when I adjust the time knob it's in milliseconds only - don't see 1/4, 1/8 etc options. Tried turning Abelton Link on and off but didn't change - I thought maybe it was just showing the time in ms in the app and maybe the delay was tempo synced but it's off... any help?
Also no tempo synced delay when hosted as standalone (in AB) or AU (in AUM) ... ??
Sound engine still crashes after playing 3 or 4 presets on 10.5 with iOS 11.3.1.
I tried it as AU in AUM and it works fine. I then opened it standalone again and it now works fine. Odd but happy. Nicely designed synth.
bumping this thread as I'm still baffled by the tempo sync delay issue... ? @ka010 can you offer any insight?
I was just about to... turns out something's wrong with the way delay times are calculated in synced mode, I fixed it locally. Depending on how it goes wit 1.3 I might do another maintenance release but either way, should be out soon.
The update funked up some of my sounds I had started to make for the Sound Fest, but as I’d only done 4 so far it’s no major loss lol.
I still need my brain to kick in to get this one
Hm that shouldn't happen, in what way are they messed up?
Not 100% sure what happened as I just deleted them and starting again. The sounds all went into the red on the meter and were distorting (they didn’t do this before). Wish I could give you more feedback, but I just deleted and started again as my new sounds I’ve just made seem fine. Might just have been one of those odd happenings and if no one else has it, then no probs.
So far, I’ve not noticed any other issues
Think many of us are waiting for the next update before really delving deep on this one, so that all goes well for our AB Sound Fest this month
@ka010 since we are doing the sound fest with Volt this month an easy way to import and export banks of presets would be very welcome. Integration of import/export with the Files app would be even better.
Working on it right now!
Well, if anything like this happens again please do let me know.
Will do. I will save the sounds if it ever happens again, but likely it’s just one of those weird happenings if it only happened to myself. Ghosts in the machine and such lol
