If the product is free, the product is you.
    Just saying.

Not always, unless @analog_matt is some sort of identity thief. ;)

Ah, yes, one of the good guys, to be sure. But it does seem that you're trading your information for a tutorial. Which is perfectly reasonable.

    Totaly agreed! lol
But since Futuresonic seems like cool devs, I'm giving them the benefit of doubt

  • Just in case anyone is interested, It’s just an email, could be any email you use. If I had to go through Facebook or Twitter it would be a no go.
I still don’t have those free Moog presets for Model 15, well, because Facebook.

AudioKit and FutureSonic themselves I have no worries about. B)

You are 100 percent correct. I trust these guys. I just didn't recognize the Futuresonic logo initially. So...is the tutorial any good?

  • Just signed up

I dived into the iOS world too fast, bought all the apps and never learned most of them properly yet, so this should be good for me.

I watched the first video installment. It is a 12 minute lesson on routing/busses in AUM. The first half covers the basics very well. The second half shows a couple of great case uses, the first being very practical for most I would assume, the second being geared toward the more experimental users.

I highly recommend this video series, based on this initial taste of the style and content. The fundamentals part is done extremely well, and is suited for total beginners. It is also clear enough that it may correct an incorrect assumption you may hold, if you feel that you already know a thing or two. Hey @LinearLineman , you will like this series. B)

The second half definitely will teach more people something new, or at least get them thinking in new ways. This is top quality stuff. I cannot recommend it highly enough. Check it out. You will be glad you did.

Thank you @DavidFS and Future Sonic for producing this awesome tutorial content and providing it for free.

  • I watched the first episode and it really got me excited for the other parts.
well thought through and super practical (use cases) laid out.
But... have you seen other episode beside the first one?

Did I miss the Email in my Inbox?

  • I got the second mail three days ago with the lesson "How to build a 'Super Daw' with AUM and Modstep".
Interesting even though I don't use Modstep.

  • @BradleyFS
Thanks a lot for this great tutorial!
I’ve just signed up and received the first lesson. And wow, I learned directly something new about AUM! Well done! 👍

Now I can’t wait for the next episode! :)

  • Ehh. You can go through all the functions in aum in a couple of minutes.. Kinda hard to see why someone would make a masterclass thing about it

Because knowing the functions is just the first step. Application of said functions is the point here, and harder to pick up on.

    Haha

Yeah, I know about the knobs on a synth, but i am incredible far away from what guys like Brice and Redsky lullaby can achieve. I would take a master class with a blink of an eye :-)
