Deal of the day - App sales and special offers!

Dear friends!
I am missing here in the forum a category or at least a thread where special offers and sales are regularly referred to.

In one of the largest German forum on recording (recording.de) we have a category "Deal of the day". I find this very practical, especially as we can save a lot of money on special offers.

Should something similar not yet exist in the Audiobus Forum I would like to start a corresponding thread.

What do you think? Could such a thread be helpful for us?

If so, I suggest to post all new offers here in the future. :)

Many greetings to all!

P.S.
I got this idea because I’m waiting right now for a sale for some KORG and Sampletank sales. ;)

May I start with some actual sales...

    http://www.ikmultimedia.com/news/?item_id=14081

    Moog Model 15 - 50% off!

    VOLT Synth - 50% off!

If you know about more interesting sales please post them here!
    Thanks a lot! :)

  • As far as I know, people generally check out appshopper.com, Music App News great deals page (www.musicappnews.com/great_deals.php) and Discchord's AppDB (discchord.com/appDB)

    Oh, that’s very cool!
I never came across this website music app news.com. All sales on one page, great!

So I understand we don’t need a related category or threat here.
It was just an idea... ;)

Thanks a lot for posting these links here @senhorlampada !

  • When really good sales come up, people usually post about them.
Some of the minor stuff doesn’t always get mentioned.
There is usually a thread for Sale Events that come up around the various holidays.

    A great idea!

  • My suggestion is run the other way. The last thing any of us needs is to be informed there’s a sale on, as it will only end up costing us more money and in return, another synth app will appear alongside the hundreds of others we also already had that did the same job as the new one and we forgot we even had them.

Hmmm. When I think about it, I wouldn't deny that some species prefer to regularly try out new stuff over actually using their stock apps to go through the hassle to make some music ;)

I like http://www.appsliced.co, it shows a history of prices on every app so you get an idea of when it typically goes on sale. And, if you log in, it allows you to create a ‘wishlist’ and set alerts for when an app reaches your price point.

Another good one is www.appsliced.co .. it shows the sale history for every app so you can see when sales have happened in the past and decide whether you want to wait or buy now. And it lets you save wishlists with your own price target alerts for each app on your list.

Apologies for the multiple repeat posts guys. Forum was being glitchy with me that day (almost 2 wks ago) and shelving my comment to drafts.
