Did update also till this moment no problems with AB3 and a few AU's and synths. Need to test some other synths, AU's and sequencers. Didn't test my Moogs, Yonacs, Zeeon and GEO and SW stuff. Report back when tested. Will try Garageband recording as well.

Booting up is slower on 11.4. No speed improvement yet found.

  • Did USB lock make it into the released version? And if it did does it get unlocked as soon as one types in the passcode?

  • Ive been running the beta on an iPad Pro for a while and no problems at all.

  • Alright, actually I’m feeling brave and updating all my devices.

Which iPad do you use? Could be useful to know.

It’s a feature whereby after 7days the lightning port won’t accept anything other than power. It’s meant to be a security/ privacy feature.

So far no issues what so ever, so if it did indeed make it's very transparent which is a good thing :)

  • Running it on my iPad Mini 4 and iPhone 7 (not had time to update the Air 2 and Pro 12.9 yet). Not noticing any obvious differences.

  • Hello I have an Ipad Air 2 and an IPhone SE actually running on IOS 10.3.3
I would like to upgradeto IOS 11.4 but would like to keep an option to downgrade back.

    Is this actually possible ?
    Thks for any help/advice

  • I've backed up my Ipad under IOS 10.3.3 via Itunes. A big 14,4 Go file !
Now If I install IOS 11.4 ... Will I be able to go back to 10.3.3
with this back up file kept on my computer.... or not ?

P.S: Sorry for the inconvenience with this totally unsexy questions of mine. :#

The backup file does NOT contain the iOS operating system so it's is not enough to rollback to iOS10.3.3...

    Thanks @Samu
Do you know then how I could make a downgrade to 10.3.3 happen if I regret my upgrade to IOS 11 ?
I remember there was link a few months ago now gone offering old IOS versions to download
but I don't know if this implies you'll need to "hack" your device to make it all happen...

P.S: Sorry again for this non-musical message

(and thank you for your patience)

It all depends if you can find the *.ipsw file for the iOS & iPad version you wish to 'restore' to and if Apple still signs them.

If you don't have any 32-bit apps you really rely on iOS11.4 should run just fine.
(iOS12 will be announced next monday at WWDC'18 with delivery in september/october).

I’ve noticed that some apps take more time to start at first load after the update. Once loaded one time, no more issue. Noticed that with Groovebox, Blocs wave, Model D standalone. It’s on iPhone 7 Plus.

  • I did it too and launched Cubasis and it took long! :# :* Almost had a heart attack :o

But it loaded fine after all. <3 <3

I had an issue updating my newest 12,9 Pro, so I’m waiting with updating my old 12,9 and my Air1.

On my 1st reboot after the install, my iPad wouldn’t start. I waited about 5 minutes and panickally pressed the power button several times, after that the login screen appeared. The 2nd boot took over 3 minutes.
Now I’m afraid to reboot it again.

    Anyone with these issues?
