Use one MIDI controller with multiple apps
I have an Arturia Beatstep. I am trying to control two different apps with it. If I change the MIDI channel on the Beatstep to correspond with the MIDI in channel of the app, I still get sounds from both of the apps.
I have tried it with several different apps and they all seem to behave the same.
I have also tried the Beatstep with Ableton on my Mac and it works correctly in that app. I can control two different instruments in Ableton by switching channels on the Beatstep.
Has anyone got a similar setup in iOS working properly?

You may need to check if either of the apps are set to 'omni' in the midi channel settings.
Which 2 apps are you sending the midi to?
I set the apps to only use a certain midi channel in each of the app's settings. I tried with Ruismaker, MV08, Troublemaker, Model D... it seems to be with all apps (that I have at least)

Have you also edited the beatstep via the editor on Mac?
Is the original beatstep or the pro?
Are you using AUM? If so, open the settings for each target channel and on the bottom you'll see a channel filter. Turn everything off except for the channel you want.
If you're using Audiobus 3, I don't think this is possible natively. There is a MIDI Channel Filter app that you'll have to buy and insert as an effect in the AB3 MIDI chain.
If these apps are all stand-alone then something else is going on.
In a brief test, it seems to work in AUM. However, no matter how you set up AUM you need to go into the app that is hosted and set the midi channel there as well.
But, it doesn't work properly when I just launch the standalone apps and configure the midi channel in the settings of the app.

If you're using the AUM MIDI channel filtering, just set each instrument to OMNI. They'll only get the MIDI information the AUM channel filter allows through so it doesn't matter.
For standalone, that's pretty weird. I wonder if there's some zombie IAA app that's somehow sending the midi input back out on all channels. "Have you tried restarting?" I don't know how to write that in an Irish accent. This is a known issue with some apps (all Korg synths, for instance) but shouldn't be with the apps you listed.
If it's still happening after a restart, can you attach a screenshot of the MIDI settings view of one or more apps that are responding on all channels?
I have this problem with Kauldron and KASPAR responding on all channels with external MIDI as AUv3 in AUM (Internal MIDI is fine) but everything else I’ve never had a problem. Like syrumcore said, try rebooting and if it still doesn’t work send screenshots showing the settings.

So it appears MV08 is the issue. You can set it to a specific channel but it seems it just accepts all midi info anyway.
Once I force close that app the issue goes away.
