Layr audio problem after last update
Has anyone had any crackling noise since the last update?
After the big update a while ago everything was fine, all the new sounds that came with sounded ok but today I’ve found that a lot of the new sounds have a lot of crackling and the cpu goes right up to 100%.
I know there is the option to use the legacy engine but not all the new sounds work with this and besides it all worked fine beforehand.
Any ideas?

Ok this is odd, I’ve just gone back to layr after I posted the above and everything is working fine. The cpu usage only Max’s out at 70% now, maybe a memory problem?
you can always do that thing where you hold down the power button for 5-6 seconds until you get the 'slide to power off message' ... then hold the home button for a few seconds to reset memory (essentially like a restart of ipad)
I'm now in the habit of doing this whenever I plan on using CPU heavy apps like Layr, M15, Zeeon, etc.
Oooh, good tip, thanks!
If any future crackles occur you might try adjusting the audio buffer and max voices settings if you haven’t already. I find that a 512 buffer works just fine with no noticeable latency. And 128 voices is well enough.
Thanks for the tips everyone, I did try powering off (not a restart) but that didn’t work. It just seemed to fix itself.
