Beat Twirl (I know!) won’t import from AudioShare but will from Dropbox

I am using the exact same file. When I try to send a file from AudioShare, Beat Twirl gives an error that it cannot import that type of file.

But, when I send the exact same file from dropbox, beat twirl accepts it perfectly.

What’s going on?

It’s just a normal old .wav, under 10 seconds.

Besides, it works fine coming out of Dropbox.

I can’t see the update. I got the update from two days ago, but even when I refresh, I don’t see anything newer. I am running 4.01, what is the latest version you see?

  • Sorry I was away and didn’t see it till today.

I’ve had this happen with AS before (not sure what app combination) what seemed to fix it was to convert the file in AS to what it already was (16bit, stereo 44.1k) then resend. It seems weird but this might work for you...
