Forum YouTube channel !
Man it would be so dope to have a YouTube channel with content submitted from people in here.
Not necessarily a full on, how things work channel, but content / videos of people here just jamming out on iOS synths / apps.
Could just screen capture / audio record jam sessions, showing off how you build a patch, route midi, sequence drums etc,... Could choose to or not to explain what you're doing but just watching people use apps and see workflow could be very beneficial to the community...
Not everyone has time / desire / etc to run their own YouTube , so this could be a great way to get a bunch of content in one place.
I'm down to do work to upload stuff and all that.... If we ended up with revenue from YouTube from the channel we could give it back to support ab and other iOS devs...

I personally love to see other people's work flow and process
Not sure how this would work, people would have to send their video to the channel owner to upload which is probably harder than uploading themselves. Plus lots of us use YouTube anyways and want our content on our own channel.
Something that might work better is curated Audiobus forum playlists that could pull from everyones accounts into one place. Then people could subscribe to the playlist instead of a channel.

I like the idea - could immediately imagine some content.
Yesterday evening I fiddled around 1,5 hours with self generating patterns and several LFO's triggering stuff in AUM.
Well, at the end got some interesting material.
I, for myself, would watch other people doing stuff like that - but I am a developer for >20 years and interested in "weird stuff/thinking". I have problems imagining "other" ppl watching stuff like that
no offense!
The people who make "real" music (real in sense of melodic and shareable) are already set up (and fed up?) with sharing options and so I think there is a lack of "valuable" content.... but maybe thats just me.
The thought behind that is very interesting...seeing people "fiddling/learning" with "instruments" and generators.

On the other hand, I would welcome a Youtube without the comments section. It would make Youtube at least 394.5% less likely to cause my brain to shrivel.

I'd add a couple:
Home studio set-ups. Always interesting to see how others organise their workspace.
Interviews and behind-the-scenes vids from devs.
I don't think a playlist would be too bad, could make things simpler cuz of the large file emails,.... I'd still like to push for our own channel first tho, and could link to the contributes YouTube in the description...
But we could go with either one, maybe take it to vote to see what people would actually contribute to and participate in..
People like me, I make a couple videos here and there but I don't really feel like my YouTube gets any traffic cuz of the low amount of content... So this would be perfect for guys like that, that just wanna make a few a year and not bother with a full on channel...
And as far as bringing traffic to this forum, it would also be linked in the video description.

Ok Ive been digging around YouTube for ways this might work.
For playlists I was hoping I could auto-add the latest videos from the usual suspects but that doesn't seem to be available. Auto add only works for my own videos. Also I get all those videos from channels Im subscribed to anyways on my home page.
Something that might be interesting is a collaborative playlist where anyone who is invited could add to it.
I've set one up as an experiment if anyone wants to try it, here is the invite link to contribute:

Errr, just had a go, and can see notice saying we have permission to add to playlist.... but can’t seem to do that from my iPad. Then it said there was an error.
Same error here, right after asking to create a playlist to add to this playlist....
Now it says “approved to add videos”... I published my 1st video on my channel - how do i get it in “your” list?
Can’t find an option for that.
Got it - There should be a video “AUM mangling on iOS 11.4” in “your” list now.

If people are having problems I think its on their end. I set it up on desktop but just tested my iPad and was able to add another video to the playlist using the YouTube app.
Zen I see you are listed as a contributor under RTM. Not sure what screen that link brings you to but just go to your regular list of videos and try to add one to a playlist and it should show up.

Interesting, I think it’s going to get messy very fast!! I added a GeoShred jam to help with the test. I have 6 videos in an iOS Jams and Test playlist, don’t see a way to just add my playlist to the playlist, which would be nice.
