I'm saying if you have a technical problem with an app, we have a team that is there to take those reports and help identify, verify, and help fix and/or get developers to fix them. Like most companies would, it is not an atypical structure.
Not to mention a user verifies crackling was fixed in an update. So it seems a non-issue anyway.

This, in case anybody missed it so no pitchforks or torches get wasted.
Without editing, I'll simply add that it was pointed out that the issue was not with the most update(s) and the issue was since fixed. Of course it was fixed because people used the proper channels to report issues as is normally the case. Again, not an atypical way to get technical issues sorted. I don't see what's so unclear here. If you have an issue with IK, so be it, but methods of getting issues resolved are pretty cut and dry and efficient and this one was taken care of.
Might as well point out that SampleTank iOS and all in-app purchases are also on sale now, for those that ARE interested: http://www.ikmultimedia.com/news/promos/?item_id=4108
Interesting word, "Most". Synonymous with "Not all". Anyway, back to the corporate 'nyah nyahs'...
most recent update(s) was what was supposed to be there in my post and I can't speak for the other user pointing out their issues and what was fixed. Any issues one may have can - again - be reported to support and fixed. Can't fix what isn't reported. Twist it how you want, but this is the way it works for many companies and isn't evil at all. If you have an issue we'll fix it we're not trying to withhold any fixes for anybody.
I won't apologize for having the organizational structure of a successful company which helps track and fix problems using a system specifically made to do so in a manner which is trackable and most efficient for the user.

You read this board voluntarily and there's plenty of information to glean. You want to argue the "proper channels" to report an issue, fine. From my viewpoint, voluntarily choosing to read a message board that can work as a valuable resource of tech support for your product, then simultaneously refusing to acknowledge the information presented, is silly.
You are not doing yourself any favors here @ikmultimedia. I've only heard about the annoying pop ups and that alone might not be enough to keep me away from your products. I have however seen how condescending your PR comes across, and it's not exactly warming me up to you.
I'm sure it's a bummer getting constantly hounded and having to defend your company's silly advertising addiction, but you gotta put on a happy face when you're dealing with potential customers.
So PaulB if you have any issue, please do report it. Otherwise, I'm assuming you are just jumping into the fray due to whatever non-technical issues you have with IK. Fair enough.
And CalCutta, I'm not refusing to acknowledge anything - it was refuted by another user AND there's no other way to explain that my relaying alleged issues posted on the internet (which I do when I see them) is far less effective a means of fixing issues vs working one-on-one with users having specific issues really.
Thank you for your advice CSwinn. Dealing with potential customers directly (via contact to our company) and refuting misinformation spread (you can see some right in this thread) that is posted in a semi-permanent indexed and searchable medium are two completely different things.
On a more positive note, I should have some information (and concrete example in a new app) about how in-app messaging will be delivered in that app and rolling out to others in due time. As soon as tomorrow but I'm depending on other people for that, so I'll let you know.
You'll call people out of their name on this board, and yet it's somehow too hard to transfer that information to your database. Companies that act like exceptions can't be made are funny. The Six Sigma in me is cracking up over this.
Not jumping into the fray, just highlighting what was said in the customer's comment that you quoted. I thought it might be relevant. You seem to be in the dark about the non-technical issues I have with IK. It is in fact only one issue, you're not nice people. I hope that clarifies it for you.
I actually like the @ikmultimedia products. I think the sound quality is pretty good for how tightly packed the app is with samples. I find a lot of it really useful. I don't care for the in-app advertisements. That said, most of the time, I've seen the iKmultimedia people (even on other forums) as quite helpful and positive. Just my $0.02.....
CalCutta - names on a forum have nothing to do with their IK account nor their system information. Basically, and hopefully finally, reporting things to Tech Support provides system specific details (as well as the ability to bounce things back and forth), as that is needed to really get to a solution.

I'm sorry you feel that way. I think we're a group of quite nice people and I'm sorry if anything I've done or said (or anybody at IK, really) has offended you.
Just out of curiosity ikmultimedia, if you don't take any info from these threads and tell people in your company about them, then what is the point of you being on this forum? Just to stop the misinformation about your apps? All those many thousands of people that don't have a problem with your apps obviously are not on here anyway. Please enlighten me in your usual condescending manner! Can't wait!

Please re-read my posts above. I say just the opposite. Don't let your dislike of me cloud actually reading what I type.

Ya know what else gets specific details? Recognizing folks reporting tech issues with your products here, contacting them directly (which you can easily do here via-pm), and then helping initiate whatever is necessary to get that ticket started with the proper support department on your end! Acknowledging that someone has reported issues here then forcing them to repeat that info elsewhere is redundant and poor customer service on your part. Many of your smug replies about the success of your company on this board is, as well.
Yes, having a go-between and relaying all of the specifics is not nearly as efficient and helpful so I do relay the issue and get people to the proper department to handle their issues.
It doesn't state anything about your purpose on this forum! We already knew your apps were on sale.
@Bootsy said:
I specifically state that I do relay issues. Keep reading.

"...my relaying alleged issues posted on the internet (which I do when I see them) is far less effective..." Sorry that was buried in a longer message, for sure.
Your refusal to assist in those situations, even a simple referral to the correct support department to contact folks here who have reported issues, other than redirecting those who reported the issues to do the leg work themselves, after you've been made aware of the problem, makes you and your company looks really bad.
Customers who reach the wrong department in a company, who aren't offered a transfer, will be angry. I've worked in the customer service industry and have for a very long time. This is basic stuff.
I am not in Tech Support but I relay information (sometimes to them, other times through them to developers, sometimes directly to developers) all the time. Getting people to the right person to help them is the best possible solution and I try to make that the goal. This is also basic stuff.
If you have a situation in which you were not referred to the right person or were not helped in a satisfactory way please let me know.
"...my relaying alleged issues posted on the internet (which I do when I see them) is far less effective".
Oh I get it, sorry I'm thick! You're here to (ineffectively) relay information to different people in the organization. Makes perfect sense.
edited....because I shouldn't get involved.
Nice twist, Bootsy. I'm saying that contacting the right people/department is always most effective even if I relay (which is of course going to be less effective with a middleman). I could tell you that your mother is beautiful and you'd find a way to turn it around on me so I'll just let it be. It does seem like an ambush to me too, but hey. I'll look into the Twitter thing, SpookyZoo thanks for the heads up (I'll do it as effectively as possible too
)
Also, I did just get to test out the new app's in-app messaging with a real message that doesn't pop up so there's good motion there. It will be in at least one more new app coming and I'm told then updates of other apps will roll it in to replace the popups.
Will this in app messaging be an IAP? Nice IK bring my mother into it, that's the oldest and lowest trick in the book! Ambush my ass! You come in here willingly and knowingly of what is going to happen. My mother is dead btw so yeah I would turn that one on ya. JK she's not really dead, this is the second oldest and lowest trick in the book. I really enjoy these little sparring matches btw.
