Tarekith "From The Smallest Spaces" - another Groovebox starting point.
This track originally began as an idea I sketched in the Ampify Groovebox iOS app on my phone one day. The drums, bassline, first lead synth, and a few bits and pieces here and there are from that early sketch I made in the park one day. From there it got transferred to Live 10, where I overdubbed the main synth and some of the background pads from the OB-6, added a few heavily-effect guitar transitional pieces, and threw Ableton’s Wavetable synth into the mix. Editing, Arranging, and Mixing were all done in Live using it’s built in devices, Mastering was done in Aurchitect’s Triumph with Equilibrium and Limitless from DMG Audio.

I dig this. The ebow sounding lead line and polyrhythms and wasn’t that John Carpenter over there with that grin of his
Do you feel the groovebox app is worth unlocking the iap’s? Does it possess more depth than appears?
Particularly liking the soundscaping guitar work.
This is really pro work. And keeps my interest! can't help but hear some strings in the background, but I'm a retro guy.
Lovely sounds and well constructed arrangement. I enjoyed listening. Thank you for sharing.
Great track and great process you've been taking advantage of!
For me at least it just unlocks more sounds and patterns to start from. The synths themselves are still pretty basic in terms of what you can tweak, but I find there’s enough flexibility there to let me dial in something close to what I want. I will say that some of the preset packs for th drums sound a little samey for me at times.
Thanks everyone for the listen and comments!
