$400 CDN or $302 USD - At this price is an iPad 2017 128gb too good a deal to pass up?

Already having 3 generations of iPads (the most recent, an Air 2 128g) used for music and video production and editing, would an additional iPad 2017 make sense?

Comments

  • There isn't really a massive difference between the 2017 iPad and the Air 2. Single-threaded performance is better, multi-threaded performance is worse.

  • The 2018 iPad would be a better upgrade compared to the 2017 iPad versus your Air 2

  • Still, 128g!
    Is the 2018 $129 better?

  • Does anybody have one of these? I am curious as to the user experience too. Especially for music mucking.

I’ve seen a ton of people on the Facebook page using them, and they seem to think they are just fine. I’m just fine with my Air 2 because the screen looks nicer. I know the guy from Synth Anatomy is working on comparing an Air 2 to a 2018 ipad and doing a top notch video comparison.

  • I have no issues with mine.

Cool thank you, @DMan. I have an Air2 also, and love it. But I bought it used about 1 1/2 years ago for about this same price, so of course I am going to want to check out a new iPad model that is soooo cheap in price. Probably need a new iPad sometime soon as we get left behind on iOS upgrades. I think Air2 is up next to be left behind.

  • My Air2 is getting full, and I'm getting crackles BM3, but maybe that's because I'm using FM4 as an IAA? Too busy lately to track stuff down....

I think being too close to maxing the storage space causes issues too.
