Cubasis with Beathawk doesn't remember its settings

I use Beathawk acoustic drums with Cubasis 2.5. After closing and restarting, Cubasis does not remember the settings in Beathawk, so I have to reset to acoustic drums every time. Am I doing something wrong? Last version from Cubasis and Beathawk. Use Beathawk as an AU in Cubasis.

TIA and warm regards, Frenq.

  • This is normal, albeit a pain. I'm pretty sure the issue is beathawk since it loads a default setting everytime it is initialized. Got to either freeze the track or just reload in your beathawk program everytime you restart. I pretty much use BH for brain storming, import in the individual tracks all at once and then freeze the tracks/ swap out the sound source so this isn't an issue I run into too much.

  • I see what you mean, but I often experiment and then I need the right sound so freezing is not ideal for me. It would be better if Beathawk just remembered the settings or had them put by Cubasis.

  • Does somebody else have a solution to preserve the settings? Beathawk people perhaps?

I have run into similar situations and had to reinstate the loading of settings. It has never saved for me. It would be welcome if this was fixed.

  • I used beathawk in ApeMatrix with acoustic drums. Recorded midi into Xequence
    Saved ApeMatrix session and Xequence
Everything loaded up perfectly. I thought it was fixed via a beathawk update then because I had the same problem in AUM and cubasis before.
But I guess it’s just ApeMatrix recalls the settings correctly but some hosts don’t?

  • A bit off topic , but since the UVI support team will drive me nuts , could any Cubasis user check if BeatHawk works multi-timbral as AU ?

  • Sure. You mean load 2 different instruments in the same AU instance and see if it works correctly?

Yes , but triggering those from 2 different midi channels (with the right settings). It doesn’t work on other hosts (confirmed)

  • It doesn’t seem to want to use an instrument unless it is the focus, and in keys mode.
I couldn’t find a way to get each pad to respond to a specific channel. I see how to filter incoming channels, but not how to route them in the AU to specific pads/instruments.

    Thank you very much :)
