Xequence help with BM3

Hi! I’m going to lose my mind. I love Xequence! I am able to do most with it. But now I would like to sequence drums in a bank in BM3. How???? For the love of God I have tried every midi input combo. Please before I go more insane anyone able to do this???
@SevenSystems ❤️

  • @Chaztrip I'd love to help, but before I dive into BM3's MIDI implementation, which is slightly "innovative" from what I've gathered here ;), maybe someone else has already tried this? If not, I'll report back shortly :)

  • @SevenSystems I really am losing it. I just don’t see how to do it. It’s not on your end. Anyone, anyone have any other sequencer triggering the pads in a drum bank in BM3?

    @SevenSystems thanks.

  • It’s working fine for me here with no special magic. Example using the BM3 Ludwig kit

    • make sure Beatmaker 3 is enabled in INPUT in BM3 midi settings
    • set the output to Beatmaker 3 in Xequence
    • set the midi input port for the bank to ALL
    • check that the channel matches between Xequence and the bank
    • make sure the bank Mode is set to Single Channel
    • by default the notes you need to trigger start at c0 and go up chromatically from there.
  • We sure are lucky to have you around here, @wim .
    Thanks for spreading the knowledge.

    Yes much appreciated!

  • Thanks @wim, hope we don't have to pay you a wage now ;)

  • Thanks - We all help each other out around here. I just hope it helps the OP.

    @Chaztrip if you still can’t get it working, please shed some more light on the details of the bank you’re trying to trigger.

    I already feel like I’m getting freebies as it is with Xequence.

  • I will check when I get back home. Thanks !!!

    I’m liking xequence more and more as I use it.

  • Nice to see everyone happy. And sorry for the little lapse in updates, I'm currently overhauling the in-house IDE, it was seriously necessary seeing as most of it has been thrown together in a delirious state back in 2010 :)

  • @wim thanks!!! Got it to work. I had the freaking scale set to something other then chromatic. LOL.

    Thanks everyone!!!

  • Everyone check out @SevenSystems new game, while it’s still free! ;)

    I spent some time playing it last night. It’s pretty freakin’ hard! B)

  • @CracklePot really? I was worried it was too easy, considering my advanced age (38) and the fact that I still managed well... what episode / level are you stuck at? ;)

    I openly admit it, I lost my touch with video games a while ago. At some point both of my kids started clowning me in pretty much every game, so I was forced to retire.

    I didn’t get stuck really. But after a few failed attempts on whatever early level it was, of course my kid goes “here, let me try”, and I never got the game back. They were having a blast with it. They are 12 and 16.

    So, even though I suck, and had the game jacked right out my hands, I gave it 5 stars for the good times it brought to my family. :)

  • @CracklePot haha that's grand. Let me know via PM when they finish it and what score. I'm still fine tuning the difficulty ;)

    That’s bloody hilarious 😂 You might get clowned at video games by the kids but you are King Boss on this forum 🙏

    Thank you! I think the real kings around here may not agree, though. ;)
