App that can create sample chains
Does anyone know of an app that can easily take a collection of audio files and merge them one after another in to a single file? I’d like to use this to create sample chains for ReSlice, Samplist, GrooveRider, Spacecraft, etc. Even better if it can load a .zip file of .wavs!

I don’t think there is one- but you could do it this way- Open AudioShare as the input in Audiobus. Have all your files in an open folder. Make sure the loop tick box is off. Have Blocs Wave Recording in the output. Play the first file- the rest will then play automatically one after the other. Transfer from Blocs Wave back to AudioShare for front and end trimming- and there is your file.
You might interested by my KRFT/Reslice/AUM tutorial. I show how to use Blocswave/Lauchpad to make long multi samples for Reslice and how to trigger them with KRFT. You can also use GarageBand by copy/paste export, or Hokusai 2.
Clever
Looks like I owe Blocs Wave a second look! Thanks both.
So far, putting AudioShare in an Audiobus input slot hasn’t played multiple files consecutively. What do you mean by “have all your files in an open folder”? I have a folder with four files. Pressing play only plays the first one. I looked at the AudioShare manual. There’s no mention there of such a feature either.
When you are at the top level in AudioShare (no back arrow in upper left), you should see an encircled i info button in the upper left corner. Tap that, then press Settings in the pop up window. In Settings, make sure Auto Preview Next is set to “on”.
@motmeister I should add...
You put just the files you want to play in their own folder, so that way only these files play. Also, use the play button next to the first file, not the one on the main waveform screen.
That seems to work. Thanks!
I believe caustics audio editor does this
this one, for the Volga
New method for me will be slice to pads in BeatMaker 3 with “create pattern” turned on, then repeat as necessary and arrange patterns in song mode. Then sample to Audioshare.
Thanks!
Cubasis 2 is good for making new samples. Making up your new sound(s) on a track and freezing the track gives a new sample that can be messed with as per a new, standalone file.
It’s been great for making/mixing up new break beat phrases.
Or, never leave the Liljegren world:
We have a lot of possibillities in iOS, if we just open our eyes and look, and, listen to many of the talented people in this forum...
Can‘t you do that in Cubasis? I mean, just putting the samples one after another in one track and then freezing it?
Sorry, but this is not possible (as I can see it in Beatmaker 3.0.10)...
You can add samples to existing pads only in a new layer, but it starts from the sample beginnings...
The Liljegren-methods is far easier...
Also, GarageBand is nice to do that. Use Files app to copy your audio files in « GarageBand file transfer » located on your device storage. Open GarageBand, you will find your files by tap on loop icon. Create an audio track and drag your files on there from loop menu. Then export to AudioShare, and import in Reslice. You can import in GB via loop menu, but it’s one file at once, so Files app method is faster with multiple files.
