My new original song, “Living On The Road”!

This is my latest original, a folk/rock quasi-ballad called “Living On The Road”. No electric guitars: only drums, bass, acoustic guitar and a cavaquinho for the rhythm section, and the solo is played on the acoustic guitar. Again, everything recorded in Auria Pro (iOS) using an Apogee One and MXL mics. As always, lyrics below. Enjoy!

    I love 30's cartoon.

Glad you liked it: I like old cartoons as well, and love this story (Gulliver). Thank you a lot!

    I love your video clips ! B)

I really liked the guitar solo, nice playing and nice recording, love the dynamics.

Are those real drum and real bass? Do you play all of them? Or are those apps?

Whole song is also nicely mixed.

Dmitri this is really good, so tastefully produced & the acoustics were recorded & played beautifully.

@chateauduvalier I've said the same thing to Dmitri @theconnactic, I've had lots of musician/songwriter acquaintances & friends in my life and online in forums, blogs, etc. and I can't remember one who was as consistent & prolific in producing/writing completed songs.

There's been lots of "Write/Record One Song A Day" events online in various communities but the end result, while many are good songs, is very basic guitar/voice & guitar/piano or at the most complex 4 piece drums, guitar, bass, vocal productions.

The scope of the genres, instrumentation and subject matter is very impressive man...I wish I was ½ as productive as you are on a slow day man.

Thank you so much, it does mean a lot. The bass is a real instrument, a cheap precision bass knock-off. The drums where done in Garageband and then replaced in Auria via Drumagog.
