Looking for AU or IAA with individual outs that can be used to play multiple loops...
I'm looking for a way to essentially build a more industrial strength version of LaunchPad on the iPad... Or maybe it's like trying to build Ableton Live...
I want to "live remix" for lack of a better word, short loops. Not full tracks, otherwise a lot of the DJ apps would work, but none of them that I've found support "looping" the track. They may have looper FX, but I've yet to find a DJ app that will let you load a 4 bar loop as a "track" and have that track actually loop.
I also want hardware midi controller support via learn.
So far the best thing I can come up with is to load loops into Loopy HD, and route their individual outs into AUM, then use AUM's learn to control EQ, filters, sends, etc.
But Loopy is limited to 12 tracks... So even if I do something like route tr 1-2 to track 1 in AUM via bus, that's still pretty limited vs 48 "loops"/"Tracks" in something like Launchpad.
I'm getting pissed at LaunchPad because the hardware is basically crap because they insist on the stupid non-standard handshake and won't allow generic midi learn.
It seems the Launch Control is discontinued and all you can get is refurb garbage. I've been through 3 of them. All failed.
Launch Control XL is wildly overpriced and most of it doesn't even work with the LaunchPad app (banks, an entire row of knobs is useless, etc.)
If LaunchPad would support generic MIDI mapping it would be perfect.
LP5's EQ/FX are too limited... All the other LaunchPad wannabe's have various issues with Stability, limited FX, file management woes, etc.
I suppose I can load clips individually into the top of AUM's channels, but it's cumbersome... If there was just a midi mappable (i.e. midi note/cc mapped to multiple clips) clip launcher AU that coudl sit on top of an AUM channel, that would be perfect!

I understand you so much!! Unfortunately, there is no such iOS app
I've however find a way to achieve that with KRFT, Reslice, and AUM. You will be able to make an iPad custom KRFT control surface if need (I made iPhone ones available on KRFT network, they works also on iPad), to trigger loops and scenes like in Ableton Live, but also AUM level faders, pans, AU effects parameters. It's also possible to trigger AU instruments via midi and even Rozeta stuff if needed (not shown in video). Its really a powerful setup, KRFT limit is mostly your imagination. Only downside is loops preparation, but with some practice it will take 5/10 mn for a set.

@Janosax Thanks for sharing that... I'll have to look into Reslice... But man, that workflow is like patting your head while rubbing your stomach... I think my music motivation/inspiration would be pretty much dead after going though all that!
Modstep has multiple outputs? Samplebot?
Yes 100% agree with that. This is why I use that setup only sometimes for mixing/improvising realtime arrangements, not for creation stage. That being said, midi AU effects/midi assignment stage is not worst than any mixing I've done on any other track, it's same concept. I still wait for an all in one app which will do all of that on ios
It's on my blog just under the video, with other instructions

Just load your loops into multiple AUM file players, and turn on loop and sync where needed?
Here it is

Also drum multi loops testing sample

KRFT surface is on KRFT in-app network, search for « Saxloops KRFT/Reslice ».
Strange... you really don’t see it?
This setup doesn’t use AUM files players at all. Or perhaps have you download AB preset for my first tutorial with TouchOSC and AUM?
Edit: oops sorry you have answered to @Drümünkey ?
Ok, you meant on our forum!! I’m tired and should go sleeping
Of course I did it in June:

Thanks for your comments, glad you appreciate that stuff/work. Feel free to comment on initial topic too
Why not using BeatMaker 3 ?
Arggg, sorry, forgot BM3 does not support “alternative”/toggle trigger mode (for triggering a pad to loop )
Yup... Biggest oversight.. .Can't believe that there's so many people asking for a latch mode for pads, it seems like a no brainer to add, but it never gets added...
