Cubasis (user error solved) ππ»
Cubasis problem!
I have Zeeon loaded and recorded a simple 8 bar line. Some of the notes had doubled as I overdubbed to add some missing notes.
Does it not have a setting to delete double notes?
I then opened up the midi editor and proceeded to delete the double notes but noticed that although the bass notes were playing they were not visible in the edit screen even though I scrolled to the bottom.
They were also not showing in the arrange screen part so I increased the height of the parts and they then became visible again. The part now will not go black when selected and when opening the midi editor nothing is showing but the notes are still playing. I tried to copy the part to another track but it was empty.
Anyone else had a similar problem?

it is possible you have two midi parts written over each other. select the top one in the timeline and move it aside and see if there is another box underneath.. you can also use multi select to select both whilst they are layered and then click the glue and they will merge so you can delete duplicate notes in the one part.. it can be a bit fiddly.
That was a waste of an hour this morning but a very valuable piece of advise!
That was the problem, many thanks!! ππ»
There is a clue that you may have overlapped midi parts like this....when you look at the arrange window/timeline, the parts appear 'greyed' .
It is actually a very useful feature, it works like stack recording in the desktop Cubase, which allows you to do multiple takes when looping
yr entirely welcome.. probably i spent more than an hour fathoming that one initially!
Thanks Andy
Iβm going to have to sit and learn this program properly as I want it to be the link to Cubase on the PC.
For the most part it is quite easy to see what is going on with Cubasis, i think you have hit upon one of the few things that can be a bit confusing if you are not aware of it.
And that hour this morning, is an hour that has gone towards learning the program that little bit more
yeah, itβs worth it, Cubasis probably sat dormant for nearly a year after i bought it and then when i had an album to make with a deadline it totally clicked ( despite its quirks ) and now is the bread and butter assembly point for everything multi-track for me..
Excepting when i need to frame sync sfx and music to film , then itβs back to Auria and a brief period remembering work flows in that mother...
Hi Nu2moro,
It would be great if you could mark the topic as solved.
Thanks,
Lars
