I'll just link the getting started for a starter
I personally like to sketch the rhythm guitars and bass with it, and solo with iFretless Bass / Guitar (or GeoShred these days)
It's great for notating a riff quickly in tablature while it's in your head and fingers. I have a whole library of little guitar loops bashed down in it while they were hot. Much more elaborate things possible with it, but that's the killer use for me.
