Auria or Auria Pro for audio-only?

Since a long time ago I have both Auria and Auria Pro (although have never done anything remotely useful with either since purchase, though). My Auria Pro isn’t an upgrade of Auria, it is a separate purchase altogether.

Given that situation, for an audio-file only project based only on full-length audio file single tracks exported from another source (hence the project will use no midi) is there an advantage or disadvantage in using Auria Pro for it, or conversely, Auria for it? I’ve only got Auria Pro loaded on the iPad currently but it would be almost no effort to put Auria back on too.

Or, does it make absolutely no difference?

  • Auria Pro has real transient warping, which Auria does not. Even if you don’t need transient warping, since you already have both (meaning it’s not a matter of saving money), I’d say keep Auria Pro.

  • @u0421793 That's not funny.

    It’s my day off.

  • I don't think the original non-pro has busses either, although it does have the 8 sub-groups. But Auria Pro is better overall, and it has the Twin 2 synth and the Lyra sample player.

  • Yep, the warping is very much a compelling reason to ignore the original Auria. On LPX I do use flex a lot, to nudge vocals (including flex pitch of course, which is a different thing).

  • I would love something like flex pitch in Auria, but it’s not very likely to happen...
