Apps still aren't showing up

I'm a brand new Ab3 user and I'm puzzled that apps are not always discoverable. I've loaded the Odyssei on two occasions but typically it's not available. I've tried disconnecting bluetooth per one user's suggestion and that worked once. I've also tried loading the apps I need before I launch audiobus, but that has worked either. Figure also typically fails to show up. I've refreshed for long periods of time, still no luck. Any suggestions?
Thanks

  • Are you sure you're looking up in the apps starting with "A" for Oddyssei? It's listed as ARP ODYSSEi.

  • It only shows up as an audio input source. I'm a newbie, as I mentioned, and I was concerned because I've been doing all of my routing in the MIDI window, choosing my controller as the input and the apps as the output. This works great for all the Moog products, but not the ARP. This morning I went ahead and selected the ARP as an input in the Audio window and it appears I can control it. I just didn't expect the signal path to work that way… Thanks

  • Have you checked to make sure you are loading from the IAA (inter app audio) selection and not the AUv3 (Audio Unit plugin) section? A couple of the Moog apps are available as AU but absolutely none of the Korg apps are. So, maybe you are in the wrong type of instrument selection. I don’t use or have AB3, so I can’t help point out specifically where to look.I would think that any IAA wouldn’t be setup through the MIDI window.

  • Audiobus will usually load the apps in the Audio section. These apps can be set up to use with midi, but in the apps own settings. Audiobus won’t care about the midi settings in this case.

To use the apps in the Audiobus Midi section, the apps need to specifically support Audiobus3 Midi. Audiobus will connect the midi up automatically, you don’t need to do much of anything except load the required apps in this section.

If you are still a little confused, just keep asking questions. You will get it all sorted fairly easily. When starting out on iOS, it can definitely be a big, confusing mess to sort through.
Once you have a basic knowledge of the few (like 3, maybe) different working methods for connecting apps together, it will be a lot clearer to you.

    Rock on. B)
